Why is it that Custom Challenge enemies for Kills of Enemy is broken up into classes/ranks and not species?
I think it’d be better to have both,
I’m currently doing the Grunt Custom Challenge of the week and and I picked Grunt Infantry which was at the top of the list, assuming all Grunts file under infantry since that’s what they are, and I only got 30 of them per firefight match.

That doesn’t really help.
I’m not sure why it’s the way it is, but I agree it would be a lot better if it were by species (Grunt) then rank (Infantry, Specialist, ect.). I think at this point, it would actually be more work to change it than to spend a few extra seconds looking for what you want, though.
