Over the past few days I have made a few custom challenges on my netbook and iPod. I forfeited a few, but I also completed a few (worth at least 15,000 credits) and turned them in on the Halo Waypoint app on my iPod. However, I was never credited for it, even the next day after the set amount of hours for the turned in challenges was up. Am I doing something wrong or what?
Nope, my don’t work either anymore, it’s just broken.
Could you detail the specifics for the Custom Challenges that didn’t work for you, please? We created a few and got credits for them, so additional information would be beneficial to help us nail down what’s going on. Thank you in advance for any insight you can offer.
Same thing is happening to me.
I started doing them about 48 hours ago. Last night just after midnight UK time I completed a 500 medals challenge worth just under 15000CR. I noticed that as I went to bed (after completing it and turning it in) I was just under 700000CR into forerunner. I was expecting to be about 25-35000 over the 700000 when I woke up as the challenges were set to complete about 1am.
My credits when I woke up were exactly the same. It seems as though none of my custom challenge credits have been added.
Gutted as I put quite a bit of effort into them over the past 2 days.
EDIT: On a side note, if they were credited to you as you turn them in it would be much easier to keep track of the credits.

Did some testing over the past 2 nights. All challenges were set to finish at 1-2am GMT so that I could make sure that I got the final credit number before I went to bed:
Night 1:
Wins - 3
1275CR
Medals - 100
4249CR
Kills - 50
2125CR
All credits awarded.
Night 2:
Wins - 15
3829CR (I failed this by 1 so didn’t count)
Medals - 800
20417CR
Kills - 500
12761CR
No credits awarded. As you can see I ramped up the challenges as I thought they were getting paid. Maybe you dont get paid if they are over a certain amount?
I’ve been using them for a while and from what i’ve seen it doesn’t seem to pay out credits to challanges over 10,000 CR. I’ve just been trying to keep them at around 8,000 or so and it seems to pay out. It could just turn out to be a glitch though, if you would have gotten the one for 3.8k it may have proved this theory.
Sorry for taking so long to reply; I’ve been really busy.
Anyways, the three main challenges that I was concerned with was killing 75 grunt specialists for about 5,000 cr, killing 150 grunt heroes for about 10,000 cr, and killing 300 grunt infantry for about 10,000 cr. they were all to be timed out at 11 that night. Oh, and all in FF Matchmaking.
Side note: I think I was still in the time frame in which that thing with extra credits for any custom challenges related to grunts was going on. The extended part of it, at least.
Tried again yesterday. All challenges kept under 10000CR as suggested:

I am giving up on them, there is no point as they are so rediculously buggy.
Another approx 31k wasted/not paid.
Well i have alot of failed challenges but they all seem to be getting all the ones i created i normally do 150 headshots in MM in 3 hours and its like 17000Cr and 200 kills in MM its like 8500Cr in 3 hours and i get them but it i do ones like 6 or 9 hours they seems to not count the kills or headshots and i refresh my waypoint challenge page after every game to make sure i am getting the credit for the kills and headshots!
Marin, it is all well and good knowing the challenge is complete but how do you know you are getting the credits?
Once again I had 6 challenges set to finish overnight. Once again I got 0 credits instead of the 20000 I should have got.
Is anyone from 343 industries reading this trend? I am having the exact same problem as everybody here.
I just completed and surpassed 4 campaign challenges for 5,000 CR each and after turning them in and waiting for the time limit to elapse, I still don’t have the CR payoff.
What is happening??
I’ve just done a Campaign Custom Challenge, 3hr, no constraints, 150 kills with the Grenade Launcher for 4780 cR.
After I turned it in, it was listed as “Completed” - refreshing my Career profile a few times didn’t register the extra cR though. I went back to the Challenges page, refreshed that a couple of times and the History for that challenge changed to “1st Place” - at that point, the cR were awarded and the extra 4780 were added to my Career profile.
I’m going to repeat this with 3hr, no constraints, 155 kills with the Grenade Launcher for 4939 cR to see if it’s the Challenge page refresh that triggers the change to “1st Place” and the cR award.
EDIT: Challenge page refresh is not important.
Completed the second challenge, turned it in, it showed as “Completed” on the history.
Refreshed my Career page and had the extra 4939 cR awarded immediately. Refreshed the challenge page and it came up as “1st Place”
In summary, a challenge that shows as “Completed” in the history is awaiting award of cR. Once the cR are awarded the challenge shows as “1st Place”.
EDIT2: delay between “Completed” and “1st Place” and cR award is variable.
Did a third challenge as above. “Completed” and “1st Place” showed straight away, but took ~5 minutes for the extra cR to display on Career. I guess the only way to be absolutely sure is to keep a very accurate tally of your points…
