Maybe it’s too little too late for Halo 5, but maybe for the future. One thing I didn’t like when I first played Halo 5 is that the spartans randomly made call outs and talked to each other. I found it a bit strange but it actually kind of grew on me seeing as how most people online don’t even use mics anymore and it just made it feel somewhat more immersive and that you weren’t playing with a lifeless zombie like in the other Halo games.
One thing I noticed in Halo Reach was that you could customize you’re firefight voice, yet it was almost pointless because your spartan never even talked and honestly I never really noticed a difference whenever I changed the voice. So here we have Halo 5 with spartans having lots of dialogue for different situations, yet each voice is just randomly assigned to your spartan in each game. How could they miss this opportunity to create more customization?
just imagine, having a firefight voice that you actually get to choose for your spartan, and the more rare it is, the more unique the dialogue.
Yep, agreed. I thought it was weird how your Spartan was given a random voice. I prefer a couple voices way more than others and, like you said, it’s a missed opportunity to add a bit more customization. Still, credit where credit is due, I like that they added voices for Spartans in the game. It makes for a much more engaging experience on that front. Hope they add this bit of customization for Infinite!

> They kinda hit this with the voices of war pack - but it’s more of an announcer.
> So I see where you are going with this.
yeah, I feel they didn’t get enough credit for that. It’s something new and unique, and I kinda regret not buying it earlier on. Right now it’s a bit too late. For the next game they can surely add Sgt Johnson and maybe even Pavium. (I mention Pav because he’s my favorite brute and has awesome dialogue)

yes, “weird” is the feeling most player got at first, especially players like me that have played since CE. When I first saw a gameplay clip from H5 I didn’t even believe it was Halo because of the voices lol I’m sure they’ve considered customizable spartan voices before, but it just wasnt priority.
