After seeing a lot of people ‘concerned’ or ‘not satisfied’ with the button layouts. My suggestion is have the layouts as it is but have the ability in the control section to “Modified” the control layout.
So if anyone wants sprint in a different spot. All they would need to do is to click the button for sprint and then click the button where they want it.
Simple solution ? I think so ? What do you guys think?
while you can customize every button on PC games, I still don’t understand it is not a standard on console. I don’t understand what is so complicated establishing it.

That’s because it isn’t complicated at all.
TimeSplitters pulled it off perfectly.

Haha in all that’s not a bad idea but I don’t want to pay for something like that tho. It would be much easier on people if they done a custom button scheme “Modification”.
i recommended this a month ago, frankie says they wont be able to test for button combo’s so this wont happen, I just wish they would patch the combos as they are revealed, it would at least keep them on their toes for h4 matchmaking
To my understanding, the lack of custom button layouts is because someone putting something like DPAD UP for boarding a vehicle is damn right impossible, they don’t want to let people customise there layouts to the point where doing something is incredibly hard.

OP, This is a great idea, but 343 is unfortunately unable to make it happen due to technical difficulties. They claim button mapping disables them from bug-testing. They dare not have button mapping because of possible glitches that may occur.
In my opinion, the solution is to add more layouts.
To all of you guys, I asked this back when I saw the Bumper Jumper layout during E3’s MLG gameplay (Which was complained about and quite happily changed). Many said that it would be great, but would cause a lot of problems as people would simply put what they need on what they want. It would cause lag, button glitches, and obviously cause you to grow enraged due to that.
Games like CS:GO and Skyrim are much simpler than games like Halo, and especially Halo 4, since it already pushes the 360 “To its limits”.
That, and it would be very much a hassle trying to put it on your controller. I would personally buy a modded controller than use custom layouts.
You can preach the good about the concept of it all you want, but I don’t think the controller has enough buttons for anything to work better than what they’ve already done.
Look at all the functions, there’s not a single unimportant one, and they all need to be put in important places, cept for grenade switch, admittedly. Sure you could put crouch back on the stick, but then what happens to b? Gonna stick sprint on b? A better place would be the left bumper for armor abilities, but then armor abilities goes to b again. Now I’m not saying it’s impossible, I just think that they’ve done the best they can with what they had. I don’t think there are many more ways to do it.
When you really look at it, it’s some complicated -Yoink-.
(That is so not bypassing the filter, bababooey!)
it was shi with a z. I do not understand why they gotta be so…germany in the 1940’s. They’d probably censor that too. (Though more understandably)

Since I’m preaching the good I will continue…lol but anyways I think that it would please a lot of hard core gamers out there. So they can have what they want. I do not mind the schemes they have set up now. In fact if everything is kept the same I would most likely use the greenthumb set up. I just think a lot of Gamers would like a good customization they like for there controller set up.
