I would prefer it to be left out
-Yoink- that if I want my -Yoinking!- curse words ill -Yoinking!- have them! You get that -Yoink-?! You -Yoinking!- get that?! trolololol
I Agree but why you worried it has never been in halo.
Do I have to remind you Halo is rated M 17+ not G and toddler friendly?
Besides, I don’t see any characters having that personality to let one slip, besides Johnson and well hes dead.

the worst ive heard is “damn it” shouted by the marines I wouldnt worry about MC walking on screen and yelling ALRIGHT MOFAKKAS LETS KICK SUM -Yoink!-

I’m thinking Halo 4 could have this in place. You can choose to have the audio to get all the swear words uncensored or every time someone swears you get Morgan Freeman to say yoink. Everyone’s happy.
> you get Morgan Freeman to say yoink.
I think i would turn that on at least once just to hear it. XP
Halo doesn’t need cursing; it would be wrong to force it in there simply for dramatic effect. Besides, cursing has become so blasé these days, that I think it’s lost any impact it might once have carried.

Yeah, the only people that have a problem with me saying the F word are older people. Youger people like in their 20s and younger really dont care. I mean there really are places and times you shouldn’t say bad words.

It’s also lazy. It’s akin to making every second adjective the same adjective. I’m sure people would complain if everything in the game was simply “big”, rather than being variously described as “large”, “colossal”, “gigantic”, or “Brobdingnagian”.

You’re kidding, right? Yeah, they don’t swear their -Yoinks!- off, but they do say damn often enough.
Besides, the characters shouldn’t be swearing every few seconds, it completely unrealistic and way to common in media these days. I have always found Halo has a pretty decent balance when it came to knowing when and when not to swear.

Exactly! Which is why the only time I use curse words is If I get excited or Im just playing xbox with my friends other than that You most likely won’t even hear me say “Hello” because I’m just that shy person that waves to you. lol
> You most likely won’t even hear me say “Hello” because I’m just that shy person that waves to you. lol
So that’s who that was.

Damn is the oddball of curse words, it’s the mildest of the bunch and hardly considered a curse word.
Cursing in video games is getting a little out of hand these days, I don’t mind it but when every order the game shouts at you is coupled with a handful of curse words, looking at you BF3, it’s just distasteful. Halo has always been above that and I’ve enjoyed it.
I would like a more realistic use of language.
Cursing should be in, but NOT overused all to hell, just when it makes sense.
There should be as much swearing as is needed, whenever it fits the situation. One thing that bugged me about ODST was that a conscious effort was seemingly being made not to swear. Take Micky’s “oh, brother” and “son of a gun” and Romeo’s “Navy got it’s butt kicked”. This actually takes you out of the moment, because no such hardened space marines would censor themselves with such soft language.
I mean, do you honestly think the realistic response to say, an alien invasion would be “Holy smokes! Get out of the gosh darn way, or this is all going to heck!”
There’s nothing wrong with swearing, just don’t overdo it.

You ever think that those lines are something unique to the voice actor? Micky was played by Alan Tudyk, and if you know anything about his acting, more specifically his character “Wash” from Firefly, his lines make a lot of sense.
If the story revolves around the chief and cortana, swearing would seem out of character for both of them.
It doesn’t need cussing to have a more mature theme. A change to the games core atmosphere would change how people see “Halo”.
It doesn’t fuss me in the slightest,
And has never been an issue on Halo ever before,
So i don’t think there gonna start 'YOINK’ing now lol
