Now that there is double XP because of covid, how does that change how many hours it will take? I am SR40 rn. Is it possible to get to 152 by the time infinite comes out (if it ever comes out lol)?

Well, it’s technically possible but you’re gonna have to no-life this game for next 100 days.
For you, assuming Infinite comes out Feb 20 (I couldn’t see it coming sooner), you need a little over 600k XP per day. You have 560k right now, SR 152 is 50 million. Mythic WZFF is the best way to get XP and with a blue XP boost you’d probably get 18-20k per game. With a good team, you can finish games in probably 12 minutes or less (for me, that’s closer to 10). So, you’d have to play 5-8 hours a day every day until the game comes out, good luck with that. But if Infinite doesn’t come out until October of next year, you’re looking at **closer to just 2 hours per day.**TL;DR: You better hope this game gets delayed by a lot.

I’m almost half way through 148… and I’m still hoping Infinite gets delayed to holiday 2021… that being said, I started July 28th of this year… and for the most part, I’ve kind of enjoyed it. I’ve mixed it up a bit, with playlists, taking breaks, that sort. Finishing commendations will help you out a bit too. Not too too much so don’t super excited, but with all the comms, and earning xp as you finish the tiers and complete comms and masteries, it definitely adds up. But double xp will definitely be your best friend, take advantage while you have almost the whole month now to earn it!!

Congrats on 149… I’m almost half way through and I’m hating almost every minute of it now. Being terrible at arena (even though it’s more fun) has left me playing mostly firefight, which is just tedious, busy work… but better xp. But I do enjoy the slaying of it all… so we’ll see what happens in the coming months.
Honestly I’m not surprised in the slightest that it’s so low. The last few rank ups are incredibly demoralizing.

Im absolutely shocked its still that low. I actually had a 2nd account up to 146 or something but had to uninstall. The MP was starting to get to me.

You can still hit it but you will have to dedicate all your gaming to Halo 5, sadly.

I can definitely attest to this. Halo 5 will consume your life if you start now. Naively started my grind back in march of 2020, and only months in realized how much grinding it really takes to get to 152. However, I stuck with it and now I’m almost about to hit 150… still have another 25+ mil xp to go!. Its going to feel so good when I begin to play other games again haha.

Last i checked there were 70 people at 153. Which is pretty wild too.
I’m about 15,500,000 away from the 100,000,000 mark.
To everyone going for 152, my best advice (which sounds simple) is just to keep playing. You’ll find that as playlists rotate out you will have better weeks than others. Just keep going for at least 50k per day at a minimum and grind when you find those playlists you enjoy or when Turbo drops

153 doesn’t technically exist in title but after you hit 152 (which is 50mil xp total) you continue to gain xp and the xp caps at 100mil. Once you hit 100mil, the game stops giving you xp, but doesn’t rank you to 153. Its basically the absolute ceiling of 152, so its become known as 153.
