Any chance Halo 5 goes to CE vehicles mechanics? In these mechanics vehicles don’t blow up and ARs can take out drivers, gunners, passengers like in Halo CE PC multiplayer
And a return of the bouncy vehicle physics and a bumper cars playlist
Here is what you could do

Here is what flag drivers look like and it shows campers getting owned at protecting flag

Here is a non OP “gauss” hog called rocket hog in Halo CE PC (skip to 3:02 for bumper car short) and notice how slow the rockets fire and are not sniper rockets like in current Halos

To those that say indestructible vehicles OP they are not a banshee can be taken out by infantry fire and grenades can flip over ghosts and warthogs automatically ejecting anyone inside

inb4 people think he’s talking about the instant kill splatter
OT: I miss it op. I miss it very much. It would have improved the Ghost’s run quality and made the Banshee seem better (it’s not necessarily the AI getting stuck against a wall after all). And it’d especially work wonders for the Hog, which is really awful to drive. Hell I even miss the instant splatter for the Hog since it’s so unreliable for splattering these days.
It’d also help bring back the stunting community. I know a lot of people loved to put vehicles in all sort of unusual positions, even if they weren’t part of it.
Finally, I miss having a movable Shade turret. Dozens of applications, watch any Campaign tricking variety video, 90% chance it’ll be featured.
Btw, I’m only talking about the bouncy physics. The rest of CE would be nice to have but that’d be seen as too much reverting.

Lol instant splatter it could be sidestepped
Yes stunting and dedicated servers were part of PC version

Maybe the Hog and Ghost. But certainly not… the Banshee!

Why
What vehicle changes do you want
You can make vehicles indestructible in Customs. Although the splatter mechanics and what not are poor in this game. I’ve hit people and pebbles while in my Warthog and flipped over because of it, that’s just silly.

Haven’t Halo vehicle mechanics always been silly… o.O

We went from killing someone by nudging them with the Warthog, to ramming someone at full speed flipping the Warthog over in the span of 5 games. There was plenty of middle ground.

And from gently bumping people through walls, to launching them into orbit.
Things are definitely a lot more random than they were before.
I would honestly hate a return to indestructable vehicles. Likewise, I’d hate those ridiculous bouncy physics on the Hog (Ghost is fine because it floats–it’s supposed to be floaty).
That said, the vehicles in their current state are pathetic. If you ask me, Halo 3 nailed the vehicle mechanics.

You can’t kill an indestructible tank

What’s wrong with indestructible vehicles

Well we would need the Halo 1 magnum for that, and until we get custom games weapon tuning that can’t be done.
Indestructible? No. I can’t see myself enjoying going back to the days where controlling vehicles meant completely dominating a match to the point the other team had a negligible probability of making a comeback.
If you use vehicles correctly in Halo 4, you can still dominate ridiculously (especially in Exile), but it requires more skill and a bit of good fortune.
I can’t stand Halo: Reach and Halo 4 vehicle mechanics, but I hate CE vehicle mechanics. They’re just so awful. Halo 2 and Halo 3 definitely had the best vehicles all around. If anything, we should revert to those.

How do you dominate indestructible
The only thing unacceptable about vehicles right now is the loss of the ability to melee drivers out of Scorpions and Wraiths. If I sneak up and hop on, I want the chance to remove the driver and take them for myself.
As it is now, your only options are to melee the driver in the face until the ENTIRE vehicle is destroyed or drop a grenade inside.
You can’t dominate the indestructible, JFoster, which was exactly my point. When vehicles were indestructible, controlling them meant dominating the game, hands down. If the other team has all the vehicles and you’ve got nothing, you’re completely hosed. Sure, eventually you might kill/remove the driver, but by the time you do, there’s going to be a massive score gap you’re very unlikely to recover from.
