Current State of Affairs

— Condense Emblems and treat them like a single unlock for all applicable customization options. Same goes for Shoulder armor.
— Nameplate Back Drops should either be removed or returned to how they were in previous games as Emblem backgrounds.
— Event specific Armor Cores should either be unlocked at tier 1, or scrap the event system entirely and swap out all Mk 7 armor bundles in the store for Fracture bundles/items.
— Reduce the number of “cosmetic items” being developed per season to focus more on the gameplay and story side of the game.
— Earnable XP and/or credits by gameplay performance to more naturally incentivize just playing the game normally. This may requiring scrapping the Challenge system or restricting Challenges to only ever be event specific.

Were they really trying to reach broader audiences though? Ya, I guess with the tv show, but the game is still catering to the same player base.

I came back for litterally 4 days for season 2 and I hate the progression system so much I’m backing out again. I tried to do the events that 343 said they got “positive feedback from” (tenrai) but I just cant force myself to play a specific game mode I hate like FFA (If thats your cup of tea great. But its not mine and we’re both being forced to play together).

The fellow that said we would get cross core customisation in Season 2 has now left 343i.

Not defending the game because I really haven’t played it since January or February when I finished the BP and Tenrai pass but I will say that the current event is nice because at least the game mode is somewhat fun. Idk I probably also got super lucky with the challenges I rolled this week.

Seriously tho 343 still needs to fix the game. I wish they would adapt CoD’s pass system where it adds performance and challenge XP to the pass.

Just tired of dealing with over powered auto aim in MP. Have no reason to go on. Have $20 for season passes but not giving a dime more. I would rather play Call of Duty Warzone on my PC than this absolute compost heap.

5 weeks in a row. No weekly update for infinite.
Completely in the dark, no idea how progress is going on Anti Cheat, Desync or localised servers.

I’d say the window is pretty much closed on this game but im sure with advertising money, every attempt to keep interest will be plastered all over every website. They’ll drag the body for miles…

Or…it’ll get better. A long while from now.

Honestly they don’t care. HCS is in full swing and that’s all that has mattered since 5 to them.

It took what, a year? 2 for FireFight to be added in 5?

Emblems, colors, player species and fun game modes have been gutted so that the sweat modes can be dropped first.

And it’s just variations of the same modes. Honestly, it’s upsetting. There is a HUGE portion of the community that wants elites back, that wants even the ability to just CUSTOMIZE the COATING.

Wanna keep patterns and materials locked away behind a paywall? Fine. There’s camo, metallic, matte, dirty, and tiger stripes that we have access to RIGHT NOW.
THATS GOOD ENOUGH! With those 5 THOUSANDS of colors can be chosen.

Hell make all the fracture armors have a dirty basic color so that clean colors can be bought.

Desync, bugs, additions of stupid features and removals of cool ones and then the reverse, all the while the community has stopped screaming. A FEW vanguard are left trying to yell for casual, customs and Forge players.

But hey, it’s only another 5 months till that 3 month vacation. Can’t work them too hard.

Edit: spelling and punctuation.

You know what’s funnier?

I get more halo infinite news from Halo leaks on twitter than I do the actual company lol

Week 6 just past and we still have no weekly update.
None of the planned fixes from season 1 have been mentioned (Desync, Anti Cheat, Localized Servers)
I said prior to Season 2 that we should Veto season 2, boycott it, hit them in their bottom line. Because if we keep buying cosmetics they will see no reason to change.

And here we are again, in the same cycle. Over a month from launch, we get some article about them needing to be more transparent. Now over a month into Season 2, some 7 months into things, and were back to getting nothing.

Every day someone makes a post on the forum about “quitting halo”. Some rant about why they are giving up.
I’m not making these posts to insult anyone, I value my limited amount of time on Earth. But I do care about the halo franchise and this current state of affairs.

I have no idea whats going on, but i saw another post that mentioned 343 is looking to hire a community director.
Could be the reason why no updates

It feels like things aren’t getting any better; for every good little change they make, there’s another huge issue that they still haven’t addressed. This game feels like its gonna be totally dead within the next year

If the next update doesn’t have dates when patches and changes are coming ala these drop pod updates they mentioned. And all they have for us in the update is more planning being done, with no concrete update for desync, anti cheat etc. then the game is truly doomed.

This game needs to be the failure that it is in order for Microsoft to step in. They absolutely can’t let their number 1 title go bye bye. Something is gonna give eventually, it has too. Either a complete restructuring or removal altogether. My coworkers abandoned this game at about January. I played continuously for some time. But I’ve deleted for about over a month now. Not missing anything.
