right now I am a gold 4 in team slayer however I seem to keep getting grouped with high level plats and mid lvl diamonds is this normal for MM in halo 5
What do you have your search preference on? Because that may make a difference. I have mine on balanced but if you put yours to the higher even more balanced one that should fix it but it will take longer to find a match.
