Curious how people feel about Stabilizers

It’s a neat new ability. Do you prefer to have it toggled on as automatic or manual? I had it as manual in the beta, but I just may change my mind. The idea of always floating, whilst aiming in the air, made me feel a little vulnerable. I rather sacrifice more accuracy for full control over when to activate it, that’s just me.

Didn’t really like that they added that in, makes it feel kinda nooby that you got a nice steady few secs to aim and shoot at other people while jumping, but that’s just my opinion.

Disabled automatic stabilizers in the beta… Not only did it make me feel vulnerable, but I noticed that it was much easier to score a kill on someone who is basically frozen in midair rather than strafing and hopping and crouching around.

It also interferes with me hopping around while scoped, specifically with the sniper rifle. Jumping can get you the perfect angle to score an otherwise impossible kill, like jumping up off of the turrets on Sancuary.

They definitely screwed me over a few times until I learned how they worked.

I’m not sure… I don’t feel they should last very long. It isn’t a bad touch, I like it, I just don’t want people levitating like the great Houdini. Although, the last time I played was the Beta, so I have hazy memories, but I did think it worked well. I’m happy enough with it, I guess.

I didn’t like them at all in the beta. And what I didn’t like also was the fact that we could chose to enable them or not.

Turned them off in the beta before I even tried them out. If you want to be a stationary, floating bullseye for my BR, go ahead but I won’t be doing it for you.

R crap.

yea, but it also leaves you floating in the air easier to shoot because you can’t strafe. in the beta i had it on toggle at first but making a quick jump aim pop became inconvenient as i’d get stuck there and picked off, so i turned it off, when i get the new pad i can probably set one of the paddles to it so i can use it better on bumper jumper

I believe it was A button for BJ, not a bad spot. Only time I used it was when someone was hiding in a spot and they were hurt, so I stayed in the air longer, instead of continuously jumping. Other than that, never really used it at all. Jump shooting is just as effective and safer too.

I get Rainbow 6 like repelling in the form of Spartan-badass… And I don’t actually need a wall to do it!

I turn the autos-off though. I like to self activate.

Pretty much this. The disadvantage of being a sitting duck for everyone to see outweighs the benefits of being able to aim a little better in midair.

I thought they were fine. They saved my life more than a dozen times

I toggled it to manual and used it often enough. I don’t recall any specific examples right now but I liked having it on manual. I used it when I needed it.

Not really a fan

I enjoyed them. I leave them on automatic. Since I hardly ever aim while jumping the automatic never bothers me.

Just like slide, I don’t use stabilizers that often but those few moments in the beta they totally came in handy. Glad they added them to the game but of course I turned stabilizers to manual.

They just felt like an unnecessary gimmick to me.

Go to about 2;11 and you’ll see a bit of hover used to keep a lock on.
Its from my surviving footage, the two longer matches are more my okayish games.

They were cool on manual got a lot if dope sniper kills with them on Empire.
