What we saw in the e3 gameplay was incredible, gg despite the flying hook that John 117 has, we saw that he can take explosives and propel us into enemies … I want you to tell me more ideas about this Flying Hook!
Hope the Hook is upgradable. That’ll be cool. Looking forward to it.
Something I can’t see happening, but I would love is if as part of upgrades you can upgrade what the hook can do. For instance, you cant hook enemies until it’s upgraded, or have the distance it can go longer when upgraded. Would mean you could reach areas that were previously inaccessible when you first come across them for secrets etc etc.
That is depending on if this is open world of course.
The hook is incredible but I don’t know how far you can shoot

I feel like a hook was wildly out of left field, like adding something out of a Far Cry title to Halo, BUT that being said it actually seems to have given a tactical purpose to the fusion coils that randomly lay around in campaign. That being said, I really hope it’s not in multiplayer. In the multiplayer realm I like that fusion coils and other explosive devices lying around have a “random” gameplay element to them that is based on situational awareness or lucky circumstances as opposed to being an intentional weapon.
I’m curious to see if it will allow players to stay fixed stationary on walls or under catwalks it would be interesting to have instant places to hide. It would be a new type of camping to watch it for if so. Back in halo 2 we used to play a version of hide and seek using rockets and invisibility where all players hide while the rocket seeker is out of the room then we all go to his screen to watch as he hunted us and this could make that fun again.
It was always a blast when he would get close to a person and they would run back to their controller to flee (it almost always failed as they had a pistol and no shield and the seeker has overshields and as I said rockets.)
