CTF Imbalance

On Complex, why does Red’s flag spawn right next to a grav lift while Blue’s flag spawns in the middle of an open field? Blue can grab Red’s flag and be indoors for cover the rest of the way home. That’s hardly fair.

And why is Abandon even in CTF? It’d be an excellent 1-flag map if we still had one flag (which is another thing that I’m still upset about), but it’s CTF Rule #1 to never play 2-flag on an asymmetrical map.

WTF was 343 thinking when making this playlist?

They wanted to try something new and failed on a few levels.

You forgot about the lovely idea of keeping dynamic spawns in. I should never be spawning next to the enemy flag.

I’ll agree that some maps are better made for CTF than others. I do definitely thing that one-flag needs to be brought back into the mix and just play one or the other depending on map.

Yeah, just had 3 games in a row on Complex, always spawned as the red ream. It’s so difficult for that side to get close to the blue team’s flag, and even when I could, I’d get picked off from a distance because there’s no decent cover that isn’t the blue team spawn area.
