CTF Glitch

Today I had a CTF glitch on Hemmhorage.

The reds attempted a flag capture, we stopped them just outside our base, and as we’re surrounding our flag to return it, BAM, the reds gain a point just before we reset it.

This was classic CTF, no neutral flag.

Taken from the POV of the red that “captured” the flag, by walking over his flag base with no flag at all, and at the very end, you see the alert for blue flag recovery.

That’s an interesting one.

Gametype scripting can basically determine who can pick up certain objects, and how. Pickup data, apparently, isn’t “baked into” flags and skulls the same way it’s “baked into” weapons. And gametype script is known to break – sometimes in spectacular fashion – when lag happens.

Was there a host migration shortly before or after the glitch occurred?
