CSR

Alright, first of all I am insanely appreciation that 343 have implemented some form of competitive ranking system. I missed it in Halo 4 But, being completely honest, it’s crap.
First problem is around the fact it is purely based on wins and losses. You could play a 4v4 slayer, get 49 kills and lose the game, and still lose a rank. It seems unfair that YOU lose ranks because YOUR TEAM play poorly. You cannot make your teammates play well which is why I get frustrated with this.
The system also does not take into account players quiting mid game. Winning a 3v4 is hard, I’ve done it once but honestly, the odds of actually winning a 3v4 are insanely slim. You could end up on a 1v4 but if you lose it affects your rank, just as much as if you lost with all 4 players on your team. I think it’s absurd that because of another players selfishness you can lose matches and have your rank affected dearly. I would like the entire system to work like the onyx and champion CSR system. You gain and lose points based on your wins and losses. When you have x amount of points you are gold 1, when you have y amount of points you are platinum 3 etc. If you lose but had a great match you would lose points but not as many as your teammates who played poorly.
What are your guys thoughts on this?
Thanks

Agree with you bro, but just a word of advice to do a quick search of the forums before you post, there’s already a ton of posts on this subject.

As the other guy said, there are tons of posts about this.

I still do really agree though, your rank should be based on your performance, not your ability to win or lose. A few games have ranking systems that work in that way.

Counter Strike, for example. If you do the best of your team, you CANNOT lose your current rank or become closer to losing said rank if you lose.

If you want a playlist that affects rank based on personal performance you can play Free For All. Team gametypes should always be based on win/loss regardless if one person on a team excells. Alex Ovechkin scored the most goals in the NHL last season, his team didn’t win the Stanley Cup.
