CSR Solution

Let’s face it, the one thing that competitive halo fans have wanted since the release of Halo: Reach and Halo 4 was a simple little number next to our name in matchmaking. It’s not hard, it won’t ruin the game, it’s extremely easy and should have been implemented upon release. Nobody wants to navigate through the labyrinth of menus and cluttered mess that is Waypoint just to get to our rank. This makes it near-impossible to compare ranks among friends (and enemies) because nobody is going to search up the names of every player in a lobby. Besides, HaloTracker is cleaner and more efficient at accomplishing this task.

I understand that a lot of players would hate to see ranks in-game due to hardcore players and annoying rank whores that would inevitably makes things unpleasant in matchmaking. So I think that instead of giving a visible rank to every playlist, the playlists should be divided up into Ranked and Unranked playlists, the same way that Halo 3 was. At the very least, please, please, please make CSR visible in Team Throwback. Listen to the players on this one 343.

Thoughts and opinions?

People say that this is the thing competitive players wanted. But it seems to me that true competitive players (i.e. those players that actually do consistently well) are less likely to care about seeing CSR in game.

It just seems to me that its the non-competitive players that will want the CSR in game to give them a drive to keep playing to grind their rank up. Maybe I’m wrong but I’m under the impression that competitive players won’t give a -Yoink- about a number against their name.
