CSR should be based on deaths

Like the idea? Like, the more deaths, the higher you go up. Especially in slayer.

That would be way to much pressure and stress for me to handle.

Awesome!

I have an uncanny knack at getting killed…really, not as hard as you might think!

Bring on all those maxed out CSRs!

Man, I’d be a 50 in every playlist!

he might mean kills… as for now its based on points which is stupid… kills>points thats how its always been so idk why they didnt stick with kill count outweighs points… actually imo it should be ranked on your kill spread if most positive on the team… yup u go up

Seriously, though, on that I agree.

If it was based on K/D spread everyone would camp with power weapons and barely move.

If OP really means basing CSR on having the most deaths, I completely disagree. The CSR is meant to be competitive, and some kind of skill measure.

So why should we aim to get the most deaths??? Everybody would just kill himself all the time, and that’s not the purpose of the game, neither is to get the worst k/d ever.

But if OP meant anything else, I want to know it.

At last, for me, the CSR system is (with a few minor issues) just fine.

[sarcasm=Bean Head200]Let’s make K/D the overall deciding factor for CSR, because winning doesn’t mean anything. If you play objectively you will always score low, I mean 100 points for a flag capture… but 15 on average for a kill, why bother trying to win[/sarcasm]

Points mean nothing because you can get points for anything, CSR should be decided through a combination of Win/Loss, K/D and Objective Score Per Minute.

CSR should not be based on deaths. What if some stupid caveman hides in some weird place on the map and does not die at all but does not get any kills? Is he the greatest halo player?

The guy with 10+ assists was arguably a more useful player to his team than the guy with 18 kills.

The points is to support team play. If it was based solely on your kills then everyone would be deliberately letting their teammates die so that they can sweep in for the clean up kill.

It’s still relatively selfish, but rewards that guy who’s getting assists, ordinances or kill players in unique ways as opposed to just kills.

The best ranking system is a W/L one. Trying to create a system that grades individuals in a TEAM game will never be accurate and promotes selfish gameplay. If you lost you lost as a team and if you won you won as a team.

Yes sometimes people get carried or drag their team down, but they get weeded out and placed at their correct levels because they will be unable to win consistently at a level above the one they belong at.

A W/L ranking system is the only way to go. It encourages the whole team concept and promotes teamwork.

Yeah, should be a combination of K/D spread and most kills, with assists and medals weighing only as tie breakers. There have been many, many games where I will have a +15 and I am like the 4th or 5th place, while the top spots are taken buy some that have a -10 K/D when they killed 20 but got killed 30 times.

Pretty sure this has been going on since day 1 in Halo 4 due to personal ordnance.

This game already rewards people for dying. Go play team objective and you will see what im talking about.

I wish CSR was weighted more towards your W/L, I know the more “competitive” playlists are W/L based but I’d like to see it given more weighting in the other playlists too, it’s stupid that someone can go 20 and 21, have the highest score on his team, lose and STILL go up in CSR.

Very good.I like the satirical approach. However on a serious note. It could be like golf. Start off as a level 50 and the better you get the lower your level. Pro’s play off scratch and so forth. A new and interesting leveling scheme. For Halo, in any case.

I would just suicide every game :stuck_out_tongue:
