CSR RANKS ??

Is there no way to tell how close you are to the next tier within a rank for example (gold 1 to gold 2)? The beta had a bar after every match. Also can you see the ranks of the people in your match? I can’t find anything.

So far I can’t find anything in game. But if you log into your account on Waypoint and go to your service record, you can find a progress bar that’ll show your progress to your next CSR rank.

I wish they brought back Halo Reach’s ranking system.

Reach’s ranking system was abysmal. Pure XP based rank systems are terrible especially in a game where there is an actual feasible skill gap.

As for this CSR system, yeah it’s far from great. Though, currently it doesn’t even seem like it’s even working (Played quite a few team arenas… yet still says I need 7 to be ranked…)

You need to play at least 10 games before you get a rank.

Congrats, you can read!

And you’re right, that’d be the case yano… if it wasn’t broken.

I was having trouble figuring it out too, but I think I have have found out the formula. I placed into Plat 1 and I won exactly 3 games and moved to Plat 2. I then lost 2 games in a row, demoted and had to win one in order to get my rank back. I then won two games as Plat 2 and lost one, then won three more to be promoted to Plat 3.

So for every game you lose you have to win one to cancel it out. If you lose no games in a series of three you get promoted. If you lose one game in a series of three then you must win 4 games in order to be promoted to the next CSR. If you lose three to five games in a row, you will indefinitely be demoted.

So keep track of how many wins/loses you have after you rank up to the next level. I have tested this theory since Plat 3 and am now Plat 5 and the math checks out. It does indeed go by the “Series of the 3 consecutive wins” model.

Still get paired with speds :frowning:

It’s amazing how the Beta had the ability to see how far into your rank you were, yet this game doesn’t… just baffles me
