CSR Rank Visible to player only

OK, if you don’t want other people seeing the rank, make an in-game CSR rank visible to us only (possibly beside each H4 matchmaking list). This way: It doesn’t make others feel bad, but it makes it more accessible to the player.

Accessibility is the main thing here, and it’d be a hell of a lot easier than logging onto a computer, not everyone has their computer in the same room as their xbox. TAKE HOME MESSAGE: you don’t have to show it to everyone, just make it easier to show to us.

If you’re going to invest 3 more months to making a ranking system, at least make it a ranking system that is easy for us to access.

I somewhat agree with this, Or even make it an option to be visible to everyone or not. Although I think the main reason they are making it not in game is because they don’t want a bunch of cheaters/boosters like in Halo 3, which I think is stupid. People are going to cheat no mater what.

I don’t want to be mean here, but im pretty sure logic is 343’s kryptonite.

So your idea is not gonna go through…

:frowning:

Just a quick question by doing that how is it any diff then what they are doing besides it being in game? You still wouldn’t be able to see the other teams ranks. So other then that you just want to see the rank go up or down faster then it not being ingame.

that havent listen to us since the release, i dont think they are going to start now

what’s the freaking point of making it invisible?

They want people to buy the Microsoft tablet and download waypoint app on their phones.

Its all about MONEY.

And their population drops, talk about karma.

Logic may be the rabid fan’s kryptonite also.

Halo belongs to MS, not the fans.

MS and 343i can do whatever they want with it.

If they want to do a My Little Pony - Halo crossover with Mattel that is their business.

If you don’t like it, then play something that you do, and if enough people do that Halo will die.

I think they’re listening, especially with Grifball and Doubles becoming permanent now, when before it was announced as rotationals. With those 2 as permanent, that means the limit of 10 playlists will be gone and they’re adding more playlists (another thing we’ve been rallying for).

Slowly, but surely people.

Trying not to read the OP as innuendo…

I don’t have a definitive answer to this issue, but I don’t think it solves the problem. I think the primary desire for making it visible in game is as a basis of comparison…kinda useless when there’s nothing to compare to. I do find it odd that 343 is insisting on the ranking not being visible in game at all. That really defeats one of the essential functions of the ranking.

Don’t you get it, though? My interpretation of what is logical is THE interpretation of what is logical. Its not like logic is subjective or anything, especially when you have two base’s of opinion rooted in different goals and objectives operating under completely different assumptions…

Best idea I’ve read all day. If you’re concerned about people being jerks because of a rank then only make it visible to the player. I don’t care what others ranks are. If I want to know then I’ll take the time to look it up. I don’t want to have to look elsewhere to see my own rank. I should see my HALO 4 rank on HALO 4. I guess I can easily see it while playing on my phone with Smart Glass assuming that it updates in a reasonable amount of time. Reasonable being within seconds of the game being over. It’s 2013. Info travels fast now-a-days.

Not really dude. Ranking system should match yourself with people of similar rank, so I don’t need to compare to others. What I DO want to compare to is my own progress (if I’m actually improving in rank). That’s probably whats most important, I wanna see my rank go up, dont care how everyone else is doing.

You inevitably play against players of different ranks because matchmaking can’t always be perfectly precise and because people play in parties, i.e. a 32 can be playing with his 28 friend. It’s fun when you get into games against players who are ranked a bit above you, because you know that if you win, you’ll likely rank up. So it’s motivating.

Yeah I get what you mean, but what I’m trying to say is we have to make a compromise, we can’t always get what we want. I DO want in-game CSR visible to anyone, but if we can’t get that, then we should at least get a CSR that is visible only to us.

It would be cool to be able to at least access it via the game instead of having to goto Waypoint. This is like the LE and FUD. LAME…

So very few will care about it and nobody’s feelings get hurt

But waypoint is so smooth and easy to navigate also it’s super fast…

lolzzzzzz

I have the Waypoint App… and the Smartglass app. Both are free. (both are pretty useless too, but I guess I got what I paid for)

Infact, the only thing I paid for was A.T.L.A.S for Halo Reach. Also pretty useless but it was cool for like 10 min. I think I would still buy a Halo 4 edition, even knowing how much I didn’t use the Reach version. Still be nice to look at.

Haha yeah waypoint is really slow to load on my laptop
