I went first place out of sixteen players and, thus naturally highest score. The losing team had a CSR 42 and CSR 24, as waell as CSR31 on our team, all of which I beat, obviously. I was only a CSR18.
People say that the ranks are calculated a game behind. So, I played my next game.
I came fifth out of sixteen.
Now, having the extra game under the belt and, having beaten a CSR42, CSR31 and CSR24 two game before, I should have ranked up, right?
No!
Not a movement at all!

Agreed. Mine is far lower than should be. I come out more often positive than negative and by a good amount. But it showed like 16 or something last I checked.

Halo Reach was my first Halo game. I was always against having ranks because of the horror stories I heard and read about Halo 3.
Prior to launch of Halo 4, 343i stated that there were going to be ranks sometime early 2013. I was resigned to the fact that there would be ranks and so,I just had to live with it. I did so because 343i stated they were taking there time to get it right!
The individual score CSR lists are based on score only. 343i have stated that you must have the highest score or be in the 4/or so AND beat higher ranked players. Also,with our stats page, the rank is always one game behind.
My game results described in OP, follows exactly what 343i have stated should be teh case for ranking up!
So, 343i, what gives; why didn’t it happen?
What annoys me most is that I’ve been stuck at the same CSR for about 40 games now. I rarely get to play higher ranked players. So, it is annoying as Yoink when you do get to play higher CSRs and beat them and nothing happens!

I went and looked at your last 20 games where you come 1st in them…your one of those players that has just as many deaths as kills. If you chose to play that way, that’s fine for you.
I refuse to play that way and rather would have a good KD spread…
So,I guess that is why I’m not going up in rank…I refuse to die that many times to get there!

That only happened when i got into the 40’s and every-time i did go even was cause 80% of the time i played on settler with the DMR spam. Every other map i went positive and when i was below 40.

I guess you was getting close to the 50 having hit 40, you did what you had to to get the 50. To be fair, I can’t honestly say what I would do if I got to 40…who knows,I might throw caution and game play to the wind and gun for the 50 too.

My issue with CSR is I win games and go down levels…I was CSR 32 and went 25/2/14 and went down to 30…We even won the game. I don’t understand how the rank system can be so broken. My team wins and I’m number 1 in the game but I still lose ranks?? Can someone explain that for me?
Some of the playlists are team dependent, so if you play with shoddy players then your rank in that playlist goes down.
As far as I can see you have to play about 10-20 games for it to go up 1 point.

Actually, I have gone through the game stats for about 7 different BTIS CSR50 players, and most got to that level from start to finish in approximately 27 games on average…for those thats tarted out on day 1.
My youngest son has only played 3 BTIS games and is a CSR15!
This is why I liked H3’s ranking. It was fun, in game, far more accurate, and I honestly don’t give a -yoink!- about hackers, cheaters, or modders. Just deal with the no skill loser and move on.
Agreed. In game ranks were awesome, and in my experience boosters and cheaters weren’t a big enough problem for me to stop playing ranked.
