CSR not appearing in game? Possible solution?

As many of you know, the ranked CSR number that was released yesterday does not appear in game. In fact, in order to check your rank in any given playlist, we are inclined to log on to Halo Waypoint to do so.

But many of us WANT the number in game, including myself. But as one thoughtful forum poster has made clear, it is a possible reason for why 343i has steered away from an in game rank. He states that it caused too much modding, boosting, and deranking in Halo 3. Bungie did not have the resources to keep up with bans and ban appeals. People were only concerned with showing off that 50, and didn’t care much for the actual competetive play.

So this is a good reason to not be able to see OTHER PLAYERS CSR. Why can I not see my own? Why cant I be limited to just seeing my individual CSR on my Spartan card so I can more easily keep track of my own progress?

This seems like a legit answer to the thread posted here by member Chewbacca0nFire. (Seriously, read his thread it has some good points.)

This would eliminate the urge to boost as well as the market for CSR 50 accounts, and would be a great answer to the requests that a lot of us have.

What am I going to do? Boost a 50 and then stare at it myself? Invite some friends over and brag how I got the 50, when they know I am far from 50 material? These seem unreasonable. If I was the only one who saw my rank, I would use it as a tool to gauge my own skill, not to try and show off.

I hope at least a few of you can agree with my counter to this problem.

PS. I made this into a new topic because scrolling down through that forum post, it only appeared to be filled with flaming and bashing of the OP. I did not want my legit reply to get lost.
