So now that CSR is out, are we finally going to get better matchmaking so people like me (who don’t play Halo 4 religiously everyday) don’t get matched up against a team of 110+ people?

Don’t worry about SR130s. Look for people with 2+ K/Ds or teams (only way you can tell here is if they are clanned up in emblems).

CSR has nothing to do with party matching. That is and has always been done by an invisible true skill rank. CSR is just a visible representation of skill. It doesn’t actually do anything.
No, I’m below average! Can’t seem to push that K/D above a 0.93, don’t know what my CSR will end up at…
I just hate being matched up against a team. No offense to anyone personally, but I’ve never been into talking into a headset to a bunch of people I really don’t feel like talking to. None of my friends play Halo, I just like to jump in and play and forget about work for a few hours, not have some set time I gotta be online with a group of people.

Exactly (except I’m 35!). Getting shot at by four guys who are probably shouting “Fire Team Bravo concentrate on that ridge, I’m flanking his position!” at each other just plain sucks. I know that’s how a lot of people play, and I’ll take the occasional game of getting owned by some clan or whatever. But it’s annoying…purely social playlists would help.
As far as I know your SR has nothing to do with who you’re matched up it. I believe that there has been a true-skill ranking system in place running in the background for matchmaking since launch.

Yeah I’m the same - except I’m 56. The whole talking with strangers on headsets thing is just too weird for me. I have a nice Astro headset, but I use it to avoid waking my wife while I play until 2 in morning. Plus no one would want me on their team since I totally suck.
Social playlists help with this, but don’t eliminate it entirely. I seem to remember that people still team play in social.

There are 50 possible ranks like Halo 3 so your 3 means you’re low. Also CSR stands for Competitive Skill Rank.

Interesting - my CSR went down to 1 tonight after playing a while. Then it went up to 2. I guess it will stabilize the more games I play.

As mentioned in the latest Halo Bulletin, CSR ranks - and matches - you against opponents of similar CSR values. This applies to all playlists.

because it is displaying your CSR for your top ranked play list. You have a different CSR for every play list.

I’m confused, did you just call good players freaks? Thats not very nice.
I have a full time job and do overtime quite often and still manage to do well in all the halos. Just because someone is good does not mean they are a no-lifer / freak …
