Does CSR for Mult-team use Individual points for Slayer and Win/Loss placement for OBJ? If not, it should.
Individual
Indeed as stated above it is individual here’s a list of the individual and team playlists:
> Team
> Capture the Flag
> Dominion
> Team Throwdown
> Team Doubles
> Grifball
> Castle Team DLC
> Team Objective
>
> Individual
> Flood
> Team Snipers
> Regicide
> SWAT
> Infinity Slayer
> Big Team Infinity Slayer
> Rumble Pit
> Multi-Team
> Team Action Sack
When we originally announced the CSR breakdown, we mistakenly messaged that Multi-Team uses individual ranking. Multi-Team actually uses team scoring, which promotes teamwork amongst each pair of players. This way, if you and a teammate are playing Oddball, there is no motivation to compete with your teammate - W/L is the primary factor that determines who will rank up and rank down. Thanks for your inquiry!

How can this be true? I level up several levels at a time without actually winning sometimes but having the most points, and none of the team-based playlists work like this.

The list I posted above is there any other playlist that is wrong?

This can’t be true, I played roughly 11 games on launch day of CSR in Multi-Team and I got to a Level 23, some of those games I didn’t even win but still ranked up afterwards.

Is multi-team still 6 teams of 2?
You don’t have to ‘win’ the game to beat other teams. Placing 2nd, 3rd or even 5th still means you beat somebody.
A team placing 2nd would be similar to an individual placing 2nd in a 6 Player FFA.

Hmm…are you sure?

I was under the impression that if you don’t come first in a Multi-Team game, you have a Loss in terms of Win/Loss for CSR, but then again, I don’t think it was ever discussed specifically for Multi-Team.
Multi-Team is still 6 teams of 2, yes.

But none of the other team-based playlists allow you to rank up more than 1 level at a time.

Looking at your game history I’m not surprised you are a CSR-23.

But you make a good point - some clarification on if a team placing 2nd is equivalent to a team placing 6th with regards to CSR. I suspect it isn’t though.

This is incorrect.

Damn my memory sucks
Still, the fact I managed to progress that far on a playlist which is W/L is insane. It takes a heck of a lot longer to level up in Throwdown and Castle DLC which is also W/L

This is what makes me think Multi-Team compares all the teams and their placing, rather than declaring a single winner and five losers.
With playlists like Throwdown and Castle DLC, you are only ever compared to a single other team - this is why progress is slower.
Hopefully MM Systems Team can confirm either way.

I’m going to test this tomorrow, because I don’t believe it’s true either.
But if it is, I’m going to become super happy and super motivated to win.
EDIT: It’s true. The QuickCSR site updated to show that it is Team. And my testing proved it was Team. I wouldn’t have the highest points, but because my team got the highest, my CSR ranked up. Though the winning appears to be at least Top 2 teams (My team never got lower than that), which is a good move.
