Like the title says. I’m not 100% sure if this has been discussed or not, but in Halo 4 can you crouch under a melee making the attacker whiff much like in Halo 2?

I’m not sure, I’ve seen people do it and get hit and also not get hit. It really depends on the timing to be honest.
I for one would like to see it come back. It’s not a glitch, it’s just an advanced style of gameplay. If everyone starts doing it then people will learn to melee lower, no big deal. Also, the player who primarily intend to double melee or even consist of mostly melee kills, it gives the opponent something to counter with.
I remember doing it with sword Elites in the campaign but I thought it was just a glitch.
Nonetheless, I think it would be very immersive to be able to dodge a melee with right timing. There was a lot of special things about meleeing in the first two Halo games. In either CE or H2, if you jumped then melee, you did more damage.
It wasn’t only on H2. I’ve been crouching under melees in H3 and Reach all this time.
Sound neat, but the melee range and lunge is pretty huge, it won’t happen that often as most people aim for the midriff/chest.
What would be a neat feature is if you’re crouching the aim assist on you from other players will be reduced. You sacrifice movement in order to lower the chance your opponent lands a headshot.
Crouching to reduce bloom was also a great feature but everybody couldn’t learn and cried until it was removed.

Would be nice ,i remember that.
You can. People been doing it since Halo 2. Halo 2 also had the worst melee system, in my opinion.
I’ve never played Halo 2, but I think it’d be pretty awesome to include this. So long as you can still possibly melee a crouched player.
