Crouching, crouch-walking

I assume crouching still hides you on the radar. But now that it’s mapped to B, it’s difficult to come out of it to attack someone. Is there a way someone recommends? If I hit B first to stand before putting my thumb back on the analog stick, it puts me at a disadvantage on the jump.

Also, does crouch jumping still allow you to reach higher? That’s also a little more difficult to do now.

I guess I really hate the crouch being on the b but I’ll get used to it. That was the melee button at one point and it’s obviously better for that to have mobility. It’s just that I was a huge croucher. lol Kinda sucks.

I would suggest changing your control layout. A lot of people don’t know that there are different control layouts. If you’re use to the Halo trilogies default layout, use Recon.

Yeah, I didn’t have time to tinker with it. I surely will check that out.

I figure with that promethean (sp) vision, the days of a good old crouch/ambush are pretty much done though.

Or you could try using Bumper Jumper, this should solve that issue.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is bumper jumper? Hitting the A button?

ist not crouching that doesnt make u visible on the radar, its the speed you are moving.
just move real slow and they wont see you on there radar…

Ehhh, not everyone will have Promethean Vision. If you see the red dot on your radar send out a ping, you’ll know he has activated PV. So if you’re crouching, know that he probably sees you, and re-evaluate your strategy.

Being damaged should flinch you out of crouch.

change the control scheme, make it like reach’s

I pre-ordered the game online and am waiting for it now but that seems like general knowledge, I played reach with the Recon scheme because of halo 3

Really since when?

I wish they had left bloom in so that it could be altered by crouching. But so many people couldn’t learn how to do that so they removed it. So there’s no point in having it in if it’s just visual.

Sorry, I meant that in a fist-shaking ‘If-I-Ran-This-Damn-Country’ tone, as a suggestion.

Sprinting will bring you out of crouch. So if you’re playing with default controls, a quick click of the left stick will pop you out of crouch, ready to kick some -Yoink-.
