Crouch walking

Is it me, or does seem like there’s a lot more players crouch walking then before, I mean I never really saw much crouch walking in previous halo titles but in this one people seem to crouch walk all the time or even crouch in the middle of a fight even though it’s does nothing for them at all and in fact, makes them a easier target, so am I losing my mind or…

I hate when people crouch…

I swear I can land headshots for days but if they’re crouching it won’t register as a headshot…

I just find it irritating that people think it’s a actual strategy to crouch in the middle of combat.

It improves accuracy now so it kind of is

It can also be used as a distraction since people rarely expect it

Does it improve accuracy?
And I’ve gotta say, if it annoys you, it probably puts off your shooting so it is a legitimate strategy, just like camping i guess.

Noticed I can crouch while moving in Halo 5 easily, but if I try to do it in the MCC it won’t let me unless I stop moving altogether first. Not sure if it was the same way in the OG games, been too long.

How is it not? A few crouches thrown into a strafe can throw off an enemy’s aim.

No, no idea where he got that from.

It does not improve accuracy but it does make people miss from close range. I started crouch straifing after i saw how effective it was when used against me.
As for the OP crouching around the map has always been in halo, its always been the lower levels doing it.

Shoot a wall with an smg while crouching

Then without crouching

Crouching will tighten the spread…

It works with most other weapons too…

Radar only works at point blank. Its good for getting that last bit of distance in for the back smack.

on previous titles it would make you invisible to motion tracker and low the footsteps sounds, on reach and 4 it makes the crosshair harder to open (improve accuracy) also make the active camuflage more tranparent while moving, on halo 5 idk i don’t have it, but wouldnt impress me if still works on 5.

Crouch strafing since 2004 here. Hate how toggle crouch is on by default this time.

Also, what playlist did you see this in? Only time I’ve ever seen people crouch 24/7 was when going through placements in swat and one guy in ffa once.
It sorta makes sense in swat since most people are focused on head level. I mean I crouch when I spawn when playing swat or snipers.
