Its hard to get it into your routine but it can really help in close fights.
I love doing it, hilarious tines.
I’ve stated doing this recently, it can really irritate some people xD

I find myself doing it every now and then…An unpredictable strafe without crouching is a lot more effective though
It is a useless, well not even a tactic, thing to do. Just making themselves easy to shoot down. Like them droppers on Call of Duty. If you wish to drop to the ground, I can make you remain their.
Two words: Elite Controller. Now that people have access to button mapping and paddles, it’s easier to crouch strafe. I am one of these people.

I don’t see how a elite controller makes crouch strafing easier? you have thrusters at hand, but that’s about it

The Elite controller has four paddles that can be mapped to any button/input. For example, my paddles are set at such::: left upper: thruster, left bottom: switch weapons, right upper: crouch, right bottom: jump. This allows me to never get my thumbs off my sticks and helps keep my aim steady.

yea that’s cool and all, but in terms of crouch strafing I don’t see the advantage… I think you are even better off with having crouching on the stick, but that’s preference I guess

You two don’t understand that at least it isn’t the left right left strafe.I use it and I still beat people.
P.S.:Halo reach had the crouch strafe and many pros recommenced it in that time and it is still recommended.But it wasn’t in any games before reach so I’m guessing you were part of the fanbase and then left and then joined in a time where it was kinda old.
Just means my crotch is the part that hits them when I shoulder charge into their face. I call it the flying T-bag.
I’ve seen more and more people do it. It honestly never seems to help them at least against me. I’m not saying I’m great at halo but I usually go for body shots and then 1 headshot just cause the head is a smaller target and it’s a lot easier just to go for body shots until the killing shot but usually cause they crouch they are just lineing themselves up for a head shot so it kinda puts them at a disadvantage at least for the way I play.
One of the pros (TSquared I think) made a video about how to starfe back in early halo 3 days… it included both jumping and crouching to throw the aim off. Why do you care if they still die lmao. Some one of you need to worry about how you play. Specially if you claim it’s useless who cares.
You might only have noticed not but it’s always been a part of halo. Why would you chose to limit your self to left right and jump when you can also go down.

You need movement in to throw off their aim because you wont always be the first one to shoot and if they go for the head it might throw them off and miss unless for some reason you do body shots…
