Crouch Campers A Plenty in Warzone

I know crouching to stay off radar has been in Halo for a long time but I don’t get why it’s in Halo 5. It makes sense to squat down and regenerate shields but there’s so many people abusing this mechanic it’s really frustrating. There’s been several Warzone games I’ve been in where a teammate and I enter a building to engage an enemy and there’s at least a half dozen squatters waiting to ambush. Why are players who are moving being punished by showing up on the radar while the ones who crouch camp are being rewarded? If 343 could put a time limit on how long players with full health can cheat the radar it sure would be nice. They could also make it so those with full health show up on the radar even while crouching. Thoughts?

Crouching and staying off radar has been in Halo since CE, you shouldn’t rush into buildings like that, that is the reason why you can throw grenades or also crouch when about to enter a building.

This has happened in every Halo game.

Players care too much about K/d rather than the objective. The mode is played like BTB. Don’t believe me, look at the carnage reports. example: 25/2 no assists, no takedowns, no bosses killed.

just camp around ai spawns and take potshots til the game is over…

that is warzone.

Witch one are you playing there are Two of them.

Im assuming the regular one

I’m sorry to say this, especially considering your long-ish post about the campers sitting there with all their Battle Rifles (as it always is) and grenades.

It’s called a Motion Sensor for a reason.

Halo for a long time has rewarded stealth. If you can remain hidden, you can gain the drop on enemy players and quickly eliminate them. Before entering a building why not throw a grenade or two in, or scout it out before going in?

I have not had any issues with this. Since most people have crouch lock on it actual makes them easy targets.

Erm no OP, I don’t know about warzone I thought radar works the same across all modes though expect for range? but if you don’t sprint you won’t show up radar either. Also the for the defending team it is a legitimate tactic so I don’t see the issue?? Perhaps when entering bases you should find alternate paths in, like come in from the top of the base rather than running through the front door ie most obvious entrance like a headless chicken.

It’s a legitimate strategy!

That’s how we done it in 'Nam.
