So some fans (Yes you too Wangtime and Tehspearhead 
) are arguing that Spartans should have their space diapers back. I support this too. However, other fans are completely ok with having some pad on their crotch. But I don’t like this dumb stuff. So what 343I could do, is add a new customization option for the crotch armor. I know it sounds dumb, but before you go on pestering me about it, there are two sides to this argument. I think it would be best to just add it in as a customization option. And before you go “Oh that would just be too many customization options”, I would have to say you’re funny for even thinking that. It’s actually more creative (Cough* Cough* 343I and Halo 5’s armor customization Cough* Cough*). I would feel better if 343I kept realism out of creativity. It really limits the character we have in ourselves. Just look at Halo 3, Reach, and even Halo 4. We had down right, head to shoulders, to toe customization. I really felt good about being creative with my spartan. I could have a big shoulder on my right side and a smaller one on my left. But now in Halo 5, we only have the helmet and armor suit. I feel like I can’t even put anything on my spartan. I’d rather run into battle naked then having to uniformize my spartan’s armor. It was one thing to take it out of Halo MCC, but Halo 5? C’mon 343I. Right now I am currently resorting to the Decimator and pilot helmet for the sake of having crotch armor. I mean sure I could go with the other Reach armors but do I look like a dam Kat, Emile, or Jun to you? 343I really messed up on this one for my say. Just to think about it. I could be sporting Helio skrill arms and the Vigilant chest piece. I hope 343I brings back a more free customization system because here in Halo 5, I feel limited. I lost my creativity. Hell I can’t even customize my Spartan in Halo Reach anymore. I just can’t. It sucks to have such limited creativity wouldn’t you think???
I’m gonna be that guy and say that Spartan IV’s don’t have full groin plate belts because they’re designed to be more agile and mobile than previous generations. It makes sense. I never wore a cup in football because it lowered my mobility factor. Most NFL players don’t either. It’s the same concept. Hard to run fast with obstructions between your legs.

Even though you’re absolutely right, (and I don’t even care one way or another) OP said he doesn’t care for the realism or lack-there-of. He just likes it visually/creatively.
I personally prefer the look without it, for that added sense of realism, which to me makes it feel more creatively immersive. But if enough fans want that kind of option in H6 then why not?

I’d just like belts to come back. I could care less if said belt had a crotch / a** plate to go with it, personally.
That being said, I could also care less if people had the option to have a crotch plate on their Spartan, as it has been established in prior games that certain armors feature them; Nor would I care if there were an option not to have one. I mean, isn’t that the way it is currently? It’d be more customisation options that’ll please more people, so I don’t see what there is to gain by being dismissive to the suggestion?
As for OP, the more customisation the merrier in my book. Belts, bandoleers, pouches, tac-pads, comm-uplinks, supplemental armor, knives, grenades, canisters, ammo-drums, backpacks, high-cut cloaks, scarves, battle damage, makeshift permutations or trophy parts from fallen enemies, I’m up for all of this.
