Good point… And I think there is no straightforward approach. Maybe checking the game card?
Well said. Hopefully this get address by 343.
As I know,there are some software for cheaters selling online.When I search for halo infinite on the Internet.I can find cheat program for HI.So that’s another reason why I don’t want to play with Pc
Cross-play is the best thing since online multiplayer.
But an option to opt-out should be there.
Side-note, you are probably being owned not because of KBM, but because the opponent is just better.
But I play on PC with controller.
Again though blanket statements are being made that I don’t think are supported by facts.
There are so many monitors and TVs on the market that you can’t say a monitor will always beat a TV for performance and even if you could there will be people out there that use a PC and a TV or use a console with a monitor.
Me and my wife play PC games using our TVs sometimes if we’re playing a game where we both play on the same screen or sometimes where one of us is using a laptop and we want to output to a larger display whilst my Nintendo Switch is plugged in to my PC monitor rather than a TV.
I accept that this won’t be the case for everyone but that is actually the point I’m making, you really can’t make a blanket assumption about everyone’s set up.
Oh that’s easy. More and more people are on different machines now days. Turn off crossplay and my friends and I would more or less drop it since we can find other games that are crossplay. But as you said - we do need the option to turn it off - for people like you.
I’ll just ask though - are you scared of M&K? Because from what I’ve seen they are all bad to average so far. I’m sure there’s some good ones. But I digress, half of you will say controller has the advantage, the other half with say M&K has the advantage, same as the flight as you just push for your input device. .
You can open player options and the gamcecard after the round, where you can look at the scoreboard.
PC players have a PC Logo left to the game they are currently playing.
Xbox players dont have any logo.
It’s not a PC vs Xbox issue, it’s control method. Most of my mates that play on PC play with controller. Controller usage in FPSes on PC has increased dramatically in the last 5 years. Stop calling it out as “PC players” when the issue has long been the need for control based playlists, same as in CoD now does. All the game has to do is lock your input method when you start matchmaking, and prioritize matchmaking with controller players unless there is one or more M&K players in your team.
There’s no point in punishing controller based players on PC or giving an advantage to KB&M players on console just because people insist on misrepresenting the issue as a platform war.
I want to play with my friends on console so yeah we do want crossplay
It’s actually not hard at all, Microsoft baked in the ability to recognize input method into XBL a couple years ago specifically with this future in mind - it’s surprising they chose not to use it in Infinite. Several other games including CoD also do it themselves currently by locking your input method during a session, which also sets the flag of who you will matchmake with.
I really hope address this issue.
Played on PC for many years and after switching to console, I know when someone uses M&K by the way he’s playing. In most situations it’s just less fair and in the last years, playing on console was really fair because most people had the same configuration. But being forced into crossplay especially in Halo just ruins the whole experience.
@devoltar
Yeah most people only address the platform but I would still prefer only playing with people on console becuase the chance of playing with hackers is way higher on PC. It’s a free2play game so we have to see how it will turn out.
@MassiveArms3345
No one is taking that away from you. It’s just about having the option to disable it for people who don’t want that.
The likellihood of playing with hackers in Halo is extremely low and overblown. With modern antihack the most common forms of hacking are network based using external devices, which are used on console as well (see: Destiny since BattleEye when live - because of console crossplayer netcode issues with that game, PC lobbies are actually more stable and I haven’t seen cheating at all since.)
You are really reaching with this arent you. Yes one guy somewhere out there has a terrible monitor worse than a tv, he projectile vomited over it one day and its never been the same since. Im talking about the most common obvious differences on how people use each system, pointing out oddities doesnt change anything.
M&K have a distinct advantage when playing any fps, especially newer games. You have personal dpi settings you can change on the fly, you have a wider field of control with that along with most games now give m&k a higher sensitivity option. If anyone argues that m&k players don’t have a adv then you are either a troll or you don’t game. You go into onyx ranked and I promise you m&k will win over a controller. We are not talking about a skill gap we are talking about hardware and peripheral limitations.
I play with controller on PC and do just fine…
You are clearly blind, the minute a anticheat is even mentioned in todays world a company instantly targets that they can beat their system. Destiny 2 you have people pulling extra ammo, having ammo when they shouldn’t, you have people flying, perm super, the list goes on. Vanguard already has hacks with people flying and full auto shots with no ammo, there’s already companies for 2042 hacks. PC is the top reason we have hacks and cheats.
We’ll have to agree to disagree then, I don’t think it’s reaching that I use a controller on my PC or that I sometimes play PC games on a TV or console games on a monitor. I mean, if that’s reaching, I’ve literally not had to go more than… about 20 inches?
The point I was making, which by the way you are now saying you agree with, is that you can’t make a blanket statement that all PC set ups have an advantage over all console set ups.
Pc dosen’t wanted Kiddy’s either so glad we all feel the same. Stay consistent XBOX Pc don’t need you
We on console agree we don’t want the bad gamers who have to cheat.
