I do wish people would stop blaming crossplay as the problem and not anti-cheat. It can’t be because of controller Vs M+K as both can be used on Xbox and PC, and it can’t be because of specs otherwise Xbox One, Series S and Series X should also be seperated. Only reason if for the cheaters, so it’s an anti-cheat problem.
Personally I love being able to play with my PC mates whilst I relax on my settee and big TV on my Series X.
Yes it can be easier to cheat on PC than console, but once again, not a crossplay issue. If we had decent anti-cheat then there’s be no “Crossplay is bad” discussions.

You seem to forget that anti-cheat countermeasures are neither foolproof nor 100% reliable.
Anticheat is essential and we require it, but having the option to not match with PC users would alleviate most of the problem.
(There’s always Cronus users on console out there, it’s a point to be made, but they’re far and fewer between than the people who pay for software.)
Crossplay to counter cheating is a thrift store bandaid argument on a gunshot wound problem.

Idk, I get longer loading times and more desync in some matches, just figure it’s cause I’m playing with more console players than I am PC.
Or it could be people with bad PCs loading in slow.
I haven’t seen any cheaters I don’t think, as of yet.
sorry to tell it on this way more but have you been sleeping under a rock or so?
since if you follow some new’s about some other game’s like Cod Warzone then you know that the anti cheat system is not going to work.
since the hackers always need a few day’s to find a way to by pass the anti cheat software in the game’s and then there update there cheating software with it to bypass it easy.
so any anti cheat software there is not going to stop it.
so the solution is the crossplay system what is left what needs to be chance so that some players that play for exemple on the xbox not have big risk to play against PC players that have a big risk of a cheating problem in game’s more.

That’s why you keep on improving the anti-cheat. It’s not a simple make one and you win, it’s a constant battle, and I’d rather have them fighting that battle than splitting the playerbase.
Maybe the anti cheat in CoD is terrible too lol
it took the hackers few day’s to find the sorce code from the new Cod Warzone anti cheat software so it was after few day’s it has been inplant in the game all pointless.
the problems why there are cheaters in this game is big is because its a F2P play.
sure its working good to get a lot off players but also a invinte for cheaters that are coming.
to make it P2P again is no option any more.
a anti cheat software is also good but the main problem is that thanks to the Force Crossplay the console players are also doomd with cheaters in the lobby’s.
so what is now the best solution remove the Force crossplay system and chance it to a option that the console players can turn it off and have a low to almost not cheaters in there lobby’s.
and after that there need to find how to deal it with the PC side where the problem is about the cheaters in the first place.
and the cheaters are not the only reason why people not wane have crossplay in halo infinite and wane see it become’s a option is the long discusion about Mouse/keyboard VS Controler discusion.
Know what you mean. Im playing on XBox Series X, have a few friends playing Halo Infinite on PC. We play together social and ranked. Absolute no problem.
But i came across 3 PC player cheating in ranked. Two of them using wallhacks and 1 using aimbot.
I took my time, made clips from theater mode and submitted a ticket on the halo support site.
I stopped playing ranked a few weeks, because i was really angry about the issue.
Came back played ranked matches, came again across a cheater. Sorry, again a PC Player.
I decided to take a daily look at the forum to see if there is something done against this situation.
So, stopping to play ranked and i dont want to grind anymore nameplate, emblems and others.
I bought the campaign and the premium battle pass. Battle pass completed. The only reason i kept playing was ranked.

I got 750 ranked matches played in the highest ranks (onyx 1800-2000 Open queue and SoloQ mouse keyboard)
And I’ve met 2 cheaters (2 obvious at least)
I think console players may over estimate the number of cheaters in this game. Or I’m very lucky
i think you are very lucky so far then.
for a console player is 1 cheater in the lobby all 1 to much.
there wane see more 0 cheaters in there lobbys and to make the risk super low there most chance to crossplay system.
and this type threads are all more old news more.
few years ago people have make it all clear on the forum that crossplay most become a option and never most become force since you will get a lot off this type threads what is also not good.
