Good that’s where u belong lol
Wish more low ranks would stay out of ranked
Wish ranked players would go play CoD instead of crying about Halo
Wish PC gamers would stop hiding behind accuracy statistics to justify lack of skill. Honestly halo shouldn’t be crossplay
Crossplay ≠ Cross Console
You can use kbm on your Xbox, and you can use controller on PC. You can also use neither, and use any number of other types of control setups or hybrids. You really think segregating the devices and controls gives you that big of an advantage? You’d have to divide Xbox One and Xbox X too, due to unfair hardware advantages. You’d have to divide internet connection too. All this nonsense so you can enjoy Ranked with people exactly 100% like you. That’s why Ranked and Classic Ranked is dead on MCC and Halo 5. Everyone else plays Halo for fun.
I take pride in being good at the game. And care enough about the franchise i he up with to try and make it more balanced and fair for those who also enjoy being good at the game. You can have fun in quickplay where it doesn’t matter but for those of us who play the gave to be good at it out enjoy the gave differently than you crossplay shouldn’t be forced on us. Only reason crossplay should ever been enabled it to play with friends on different platforms never in a competitive standpoint should it be a forced element to play with somone on a high end PC with better controls etc.
Dude I seriously noticed the same thing yesterday, time flys, when you’re having fun (halo)
Trust me, even the most expensive PCs are chugging when it comes to Infinite. The game is actually better optimized for consoles. Kbm is not the superior control type in Infinite either, because 8 directional walking with instant strafe acceleration and no sneaking the radar sucks. You can aim super fast, but you have zero aim assist on a mouse, so if you’re off by a pixel, your bullets miss. Console controller has busted aim assist, so that’s why PC controller is the best. It’s entirely due to 343 having broken netcode and broken aim assist. Even the individual weapons are severely unbalanced. The BR has the strongest aim assist by far. You’ll rarely see kbm get perfects and headshots, but you’ll always see controller get tons of those medals. I use controller because it makes challenges super easy. Mouse is not good even for the best kbm players. They’re all switching to controllers because Infinite is so bad.
I used to not like rank for two main reasons,
-
In MCC it took forever to find matches
-
I used to be scared to lose my rank when I go negative

In infinite I’ve loved ranked, it has to be my favorite mode and put me more onto it. I like playing against players around my skill level. I also hate playing against afk players (unless I’m doing challenges). In ranked there’s less of that and more challenges because everyone’s trying to win. I’ve always played competitive, even in social matches.
Now I actually feel bad when I try my hardest in social matches because people want to lay back and mess around. All I got to say to those people it, play ranked! Because if you’re bad at the game, you rank low and then it’s a win win. If you play social then you get an inaccurate challenge and it could get boring wining or losing.
I have a rank question by the way.
So I know when you lose games in MCC rank you go negative, I’ve lost many games in infinite rank but my rank hasn’t gone down. Do I have to lose more games or something to go negative?
I’m around platinum in cross play and solo/duo controller modes by the way
100% cap, I played my first 100 hours on kbm, and 100 now on controller. Controller 100% has a clear advantage. The aim assist is too good, but not nearly as high as it is on halo 5 (just played some swat today, much easier and less inferiorating then halo infinite swat.) But there is no real incentive to play on kbm, and ive been switching between the two whenever since i accidentally played on open crossplay queue and im too high of a rank to want to restart
It’s mind boggling that some players think controllers have an advantage in infinite. It has the least aim assist of any halo.
My dude if you’re good at flicking in CSGO with an MnK you will be good at flicking in Halo with a MnK. Also please explain to my TTK explains the 10% accuracy advantage controller has?
Because we literally do??? Like there’s been two different people who have pulled the data from ranked and shown that at low, medium, and high levels of skill controller has a 10% accuracy advantage over MnK.
Okay, flick shooting has absolutely nothing to do with tracking, and given how the overwhelming majority of the game isn’t Tactical Slayer (SWAT,) you can’t try to use that as justification for a M&K user being able to match or beat out a controller for general fights.
And for TTK it’s obvious. Most of the shooters that have come out or been popular for the past several years are either: see guy and kill him near instantly or pop a shot at a guy and hide, rinse and repeat. Shooters just really are not sustained fights where your enemy is taking constant punishment to bring down, and given that Halo has, for almost all of its lifetime, had like 90+% of its mp playerbase be on console, there’s almost no muscle memory or experience with having to constantly track, and constantly hit, enemies for those on M&K.
You see a guy and quickly bring your cursor over or near him, line up a shot and start firing. Enemy starts variably strafing, intermixing crouches rarely, you start missing shots because you don’t have years of experience nonstop tracking a target (and there’s no momentum, you instantly change directions at max speed. Only makes it worse.) Meanwhile your opponent is fairly likely to destroy you, and all but guaranteed to do so if they have any Halo experience on a controller.
This is also why I mentioned engagement distance, as the people that have the veterancy are on controllers and choosing to start fights closer range and not constantly harass at a distance like in Warzone or Apex. You know how to almost always hit your target constantly, and you’re doing so up close = higher net average of accuracy. It would be even higher if the aim assist worked at all, as it currently straight breaks in a fight or if both targets are moving.
A raw accuracy stat doesn’t mean much - too many other variables.
Just go watch a twitch streamer. They do crazy things that are impossible with a thumbstick. We’re comparing a thumb with very little aim assist to someone’s entire arm. It’s common sense mouse is superior.
Everyone keeps talking about those stats on Reddit as though they’re gospel. No one has addressed any of the explanations of why there’s such a discrepancy. It’s also ridiculous that such a high number of people are having such different (I.E. Inconsistent) experiences, and the only thing the anti AA crowd has offered is elitism and “git gud”. It’s disgusting.
For me, guns like the commando and sidekick have almost 0 if any aim assist. The BR does have some, but it also seems to randomly stop sometimes for some reason.
Has it occurred to anyone that’s against aim assist that maybe their experience is not what other people have been? I mean, it’s practically unplayable, especially when you factor in the lag and net code issues recently.
You’re so, so, so, so, so wrong.
Aim assist is insane for controller players. Absolutely insane.
Not to mention the fact you have faster strafing as well.
There are next to no scenarios where you can “cross map” shoot with weaponry for the PC players to gain advantage over controller players, where as every mid-range to close-range encounter massively favours controller players.
So yeah…
Quit complaining when you already have a clear advantage.
UI != Config.
Controller config is universal for both platforms.
You saying Aim assist doesn’t exist on Xbox because a reticule doesn’t turn red on PC simply means the UI settings are different (which is to be expected).
The controller input configuration has to be the same regardless of platform… I’ve got a controller and M/K plugged into my PC at the same time. I don’t use the controller, but by your logic because its plugged in, therefore my M/K should have “insane aim assist”.
The aim assist isn’t tied to the keyhandler, its tied to the configuration. Therefore if the game is set into “controller” it has aim assist - therefore if you attach a M/K to your xbox (and use this as your input), you will lose the aim assist.
The aim assist is not insane, and it’s the weakest it has ever been in the franchise. Even Halo Reach (which a lot of people said was too strong on the PC version) was the same as its console port and wasn’t overpowered. The only strong aim assist aside 5 was MCC, and that was only for stuff like the DMR pre-nerf.
The statistics literally show an increase of 20% accuracy with the controller…
That’s because 90% of engagements are close to mid-range encounters, which the aim assist on controller drastically improves accuracy over non-aim assisted controls.
An increase of 20% is actually insane since they’re supposed to be EVEN and aim-assist is supposed to simply assist, and not aim for players.
