I feel this way too. MCC collection had more options than infinite. I don’t know why 343 decided to take away the power to choose from the player?

I think crossplay should have a toggle option at the very least. Aim assist kicks on and off it seems. I usually don’t have to hard of a time shooting somebody but sometimes it just becomes impossible to hit shots. I play on xbox btw.

Well, I personally love that there’s little aim assist in this game. It’s one of the only changes they have made that i am thoroughly happy about. I play with a controller and I find that this game has a good level of challenge aiming; guns that are hard to aim are hard to aim, which is how it should be. Now, the fact that bullet magnetism is so strong making missed shots still hit, and the hit detection being awful (I think due to the low server tick rate), is a serious problem, but less aim assist just makes the game better. Getting melted by people all the time because it’s super easy to land shots is frustrating as heck.

You do know that even turning off crossplay wouldn’t rid you of those pesky keyboard users, right?
You can use keyboard and mouse on Xbox (rare, but happens], and also you can use controller on PC (a significant portion of people do that.)
You should always be able to use the input device that is more comfortable for you to use. People are going to be arguing about “Who has it easier” until the end of time, and there is no purpose to it.

Diamond right now. It may not be onyx but I think it’s decent.
There is Ranked input-based matchmaking (Party Size 1-2) right now.
I like loading into that lobby just because running into 4 stacks by yourself is not going to work, regardless of if they’re using keyboards or sticks. Completely irrelevant that those guys happen to be using xbox controllers because it’s input locked.
I definitely think having a full party is a way larger advantage than Mouse vs Controller and all that nonsense.

Do you play on tv or a monitor? Players on monitors have an inherent advantage due to low/non existent input delay. TVs have much higher input delay

Controller has a tonne of aim assist. I’ve played hundreds of games already; trust me. The problem is the default setup is very, very bad.
Mess around with your settings. Copy some high tier players setups and see how they work for you. Then adjust accordingly.
I like having the option to tailor my experience.
I play on Xbox and controller
If I want to play with my pc friends that use controller then input = controller, crossplay = on
One of my buddies use M&K in PC, in that case, input =open, crossplay = on
If I’m only playing with my Xbox friends then input = controller, crossplay = off

My friend streamed his PC controller gameplay, and his aim assist looked to be far sticker and more consistent than I have ever experienced playing on my Xbox One X. I often feel like I have to reign in my reticle like I’m playing a fishing game. There are definitely technical inconsistencies in the aiming that people would rather ignore in favor of some weird “input war” which is somehow even more sad than the console wars

How about you just… aim? Aim assist works fine and its in a good place. People are actually crying that aim assist is too strong right now tbh. Crossplay is fine, they just need to add better anticheat (or any anticheat at all) Look speed needs to go up cause i have it all maxxed out and its still slow af… An option to disable crossplay will most likely come out after a bit.
I have never seen anyone use the sidekick outside mid range let alone across the map, so can’t comment on people nailing those, but I can personally attest that the aim assist situation that OP is talking about is terrible like they say.

Muh reddit facts. Ever think console players might be more accurate because they cant cross map with an AR so they wait until red lock range to shoot?
If anybody does better with a controller its simply because they suck with a mouse.
Disable the crossplay.
