I really wish I worked at 343i, after reading all you people who say AA doesn’t exist. I would roll an update out that turns it off completely and reduce the bullet magnetism so both inputs are 1 for 1.
Idk man I play PC with a pro controller and I definitely feel I don’t have aim assist or it’s spotty at best.
you do may want to do some research. this isnt a new thing. aim assist is an aimbot. its just not tuned to do all the work. its literally in every console fps.
very easy to abuse, especially in COD titles.
You may want to answer my question and not spout opinionated bs.
The fact of the matter is, aim assist is a requirement for controller play; nothing will change that. Turn your attention towards crossplay. It’s the very reason this discussion is being revived over and over again.
It’s a monkey wrench thrown into the sandbox.
Controller on PC or console?
And then the game would die because PC players don’t play halo anyway.
There’s a reason for that and it’s mainly because of the advantage there is with controller. Halo has done wore off. It’s a shame because it didn’t take long at all. Look at the most played games on Steam currently, Halo is barely in the top 50 right now. Next week it will barely in the top 100, fastest game that dropped from because in the top 10. Even on Twitch the views have dropped dramatically. There’s a problem.
Not true, if you actually tested them all you’d come to find it’s actually the AR.
Or you know, it’s because they prefer games with a way faster TTK, or prefer games like Siege and CSGO, Apex… etc, etc.
We don’t see M&K pros with God tier aim playing halo, we see them playing siege (which requires tracking if you were to ask me). Halo is just a console shooter with no sustenance at the moment, CSGO still gets updates to this day, Infinite is just a bad F2P shooter right now.
Or maybe it’s because the game is suffering to do piss a poor progression system, glitches, high store prices and a general fumbling of the multiplayer experience?
MnK feels awful I get that but that’s an issue stacked on the steadily growing pile of issues.
Maybe, but most have said it is because of the uneven playing field since they gave controller a soft aim bot.
And that’s a crossplay issue. That’s not the fault of the controller. It’s the fault of the devs pushing this onto players and expecting nothing to happen.
Controller and Mnk players aren’t playing the same game. So why would you pit them against one another?
AIMBOT LMAO, have you tried playing controller yourself? Have you seen Dr Disrespect try to play this game on controller? All he did the entire time was whine about AA not working dispite that being the reason he was playing on controller.
I literally bought M&K so i could stomach this game.
Umm, yes I have and I do. I have both, Series X and PC and I’ve done a video showing how OP controller is…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ-RwtL2xm8
If you’re the kind that just skips through videos, TLDW…controller clearly has an advantage with aim assist plus higher bullet magnetism. My video shows how off you can be on target with controller yet still land your shots, while on PC that is not the case.
So what if it’s op? Crossplay was made for cross-platform. Not cross-input.
Maybe it’s because im on XbOne but that’s nothing like how it works for me. I’ll continue playing M&K and getting better so i don’t have to be a whiny -Yoink!- like the rest of this community.
If controller is so OP then just use it.
Btw have you tested it against a strafing and jumping target? Is this LAN or Live? Is the controller Xbox or PC?
Well, with people like you thinking there’s no problem…that is the problem.
It’s not only that. 343i placed little tricks in the game with MnK to give it more of a disadvantage, like this for example…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdwICfpDYWM
So it’s hard to “get good” when the game is already against keyboard and mouse.
Are you understanding what I’m saying?
Listen CLOSELY. Mouse and controller are not supposed to be playing against each other. One uses a sensor and one uses a joystick. One has pinpoint accuracy. One has aim assist.
They are NOT playing the same game at all. Halo is an even starts game. Mouse and controller aren’t even; by that logic, cross-input should not be considered competitive.
It doesn’t matter if it’s op. Crossplay in of itself is comprising sandbox integrity. You can nerf aim assist all you want, it still wont fix the problem because the cause of said problem is crossplay. Not controller. Not MnK, but crossplay.
I stated it very clear in my video, left side was Xbox with controller. That’s why I showed the controller and aim assist working on the left side.
It was set to LAN, but it shouldn’t matter if it’s LAN on XBL since the advantages with controller are engine based. I have tested it against strafing, just haven’t recorded it but there’s plenty of videos already that show the difference. Controller has the clear advantage against a strafing opponent with the aim assist and higher bullet magnetism.
