It already exists in Halo infinite and it sucks because you can’t shut it off
What is wrong with all you people? Halo is cross play
@vtalen I don’t normally encourage necroposting, normally I get pretty annoyed with it. But this post aged like the finest of wines.
Anyone who claims “nobody asked for Crossplay” can and should drink deep from this bountiful copium rich time capsule.
Nor should you be allowed too. Crossplay doesn’t need to have an off option. It needs an input option.
you wrong on that part the crossplay system in general needs a off option and it needs also a input option also.
so it needs both to have a turn off and on option.
Why does it need an off option? To lower the available player count further when searching for matches?
a lot off players not care at all that there need to wait maybe what longer for a match at all.
since day one off the release off the game players have ask and have keep asking that crossplay in general needs a turn off button.
that the game has become worse in player base has notting to do with the crossplay system at all maybe a little part has to do it also but most off part it has to do with the weak content it has.
the point is to have crossplay between platforms a turn off option is that players and most off all from the Xbox console side not wane play at all against with PC platform players at all.
Why though? Because people are delusional and actually believe people don’t also cheat on Xbox? Crossplay is not an issue. The issue is a weak lackluster anti-cheat and no input option for crossplay.
If you’re still playing on Xbox One then I understand. PC out performs X1 by a hundred miles. But if you’re playing on Series X|S then there shouldn’t be an issue. The average PC player has a max of 144fps and truthfully most don’t even hit that. The new consoles are pretty on par with the majority of PC players.
i have never told that on the xbox console you can also use cheating software.
the only thing is that the risk level to find a xbox console player that is using cheating software is low and not so ultra high then on the PC platform when its more a commen thing on the PC platform more.
if you talk about crossplay in general in a lot off game’s also on the playstation then is it always that Playstation and xbox console players never wane play with the PC platform in the same match’s.
look Warzone since lauch t/m now.
how manny chance’s there not have make in the anti cheating software when it was strong.
first it was so that if you are using a cheating software you next lobby’s are with other people that are using cheats.
it was so that you can instakill the other player if he was using hacks.
there own anti cheating system how manny update’s it not has got.
now there have add it so that the players that use hacks not see you and there get killt by ghost’s more.
there is no strong anti cheating software there are all weak not one is strong that can stop then.
it has notting to do with the FPS at all for a lot off people.
the reason a lot off people wane turn off crossplay is that there not wane play with cheaters and we all know that the PC platform has the ultra high cheating level risk there is in any game.
we both know that people that need cheating software to get kills or win match’s are the lowst from the lowst and are also the worst off the worst there are.
but there is notting you cant do to stop then for using it.
the only thing there can do is add a turn off button that players that not wane play against PC platform players can only play with the Xbox console players.
and the xbox console players give really notting at all there need to wait maybe longer to enter a lobby thats the price you pay and there accept it also to pay that price for it.
Modded controllers are literally the largest form of cheating. Since there are more console players (Xbox and PlayStation) then there is PC players I’d say you have a much higher chance of finding a console cheater then a PC one.
With that said, are PC cheats more extreme? Absolutely. But none the less you’re more likely to find someone using a modded controller then a PC cheater. And you can think CoD for that.
if you mean the elite serie’s off controlers then you need to deal with it more.
since if microsoft and sony wane release elite serie’s off there basic controler its there choose and you most accept it that some players are going to use then in game’s like halo.
i am a xbox console player that use also the elite serie’s controler so what i not care if there are people like you that hate it its not my problem.
the diffrend is that a PC cheater is super easy to find since there use aimbot’s or wall hacks so yea that make it super easy to find then.
between the console players you not know if some players are using the basic controler or the elite serie’s.
there are 3 things that have gone wrong with halo infinite from the start.
and i have told it think on a other thread all before.
1: the multiplayer is F2P big mistake.
2: force crossplay between platforms also big mistake.
3: release it on the PC was also a big mistake.
Spike my guy, he absolutely does not mean premium OEM controllers, he’s talking about third party modified hardware with features unsupported by consoles manufacturers and you know that.
I had friends from grade school circa 2008 that had these types of controllers, they’re not remotely difficult to obtain.
Either you didn’t word this properly or you are confused they’re already is cross play and it is the worst thing about this game. Now if you’re just saying we need to be able to shut it off? Then yeah I agree because playing cross play sucks every person we come across who is garbage and pulling out a billion kills a match is on a PC because PC has more advantages and it’s almost frustrating enough that I do not want to play this game anymore
I’m not talking about the Elite Series controllers or scuf or anything like that. I’m talking about mods like Cronus Zen, Titan, or controllers like modded zone controllers etc… Extensions or controllers where you can download cheats, change the level of aim assist, add rapid fire, auto aim, rapid reload, anti-recoil or other cheats like that.
Bud at this point 3 replies in, you’re arguing with people that posted this stuff in 2020, two years ago.
They’re not confused, you are.
never hear from then at all.
and i also give no crap about then also.
so what stuff like that is selling is it really worth that you cant play the game at all in the end that you get banned for it by using stuff like that.
a lot off players are not that stupid at all any more.
if a player for exemple with a sniper rilfe only gets headshots with it then there repot him for using hacks.
using cheat’s and hacks are now a day’s more commen.
why you think developers from game’s like 343i lose the fight against the cheating problem on day one off the launch all.
its a fight no developer can win its a automatic lose from the start.
stuff like crossplay to turn off is something that helps in this case a lot for the console players.
a input crossplay setting to choose between controler,KBM or both is also something good there can do to fix some things.
The amount of topics voicing frustration about long wait times disagrees with your assertion:

https://forums.halowaypoint.com/t/net-code-poor-qualitiy-connections-and-long-wait-times/516915/12
And those are just within the last month.
You might not mind longer wait times, but don’t speak for others, let them speak for themselves.
that has more to do with the worse population this game has now.
a lot off players have leave the game since launch day.
that there is lack off contant at all and big problems like worse conection problems not get fix good has notting to do with it the crossplay at all.
from launch day we told on this forum’s a lot that force crossplay is worse and we need a turn off button.
that the population in the late month’s have become worse is the company owns fault if the contant is weak and big problems not get fix at all good.
I went back to MCC since it let me choose platform and input. No longer playing infinite.
So your logic is as follows:
-
Fact: Population is low leading to long matchmaking time, people are frustrated.
-
Assertion: Introducing optional platform segregation will lead to even longer matchmaking time than there already is, but people will be less frustrated with longer matchmaking times.
That equation doesn’t work my guy. Objectively does not work.
But your stance still is that optional platform segregation will make it all better in its diminished state right?
