If there’s input based matchmaking then sure. MCC on PC already had it’s hardcore game modes completely die out because controllers auto aim destroys keyboard and mouse players.

and how long do you think then it will hold the hackers out?
it will not work long maybe for a few hours but after that it will start again.
what can help if there running the game from steam that you can bann there steam account from playing the game then there need to remake a new steam account and buy the game again.
thats maybe a fix for the cheating problem.
but cheating is not the only problem why most off the concole players or pc players wane have crossplay with each other.
what most off the pc players hate is that Xbox concole players get Aim Assist to make it more fair for then and thats something also that is playing in the communety.

So look. When you ban the hacker, ban them by IP address like discord does so that its harder to make an account. Also about the AA. Just put controller players with controller players and M&k with m&K. It’s simple. But you ask what will happen if someone disconnects their controller mid-game? Well they have 30 seconds to reconnect and if failed to do so will be kicked out of the game. M&k should be disabled when playing w controller in multiplayer.
If the other games are cross platform play like gears 5 and other Xbox games, then I don’t see why Halo Infinite wouldn’t be. I hope it is so I can play with my PC friends.

Cross play would be a good thing. It allows players and friends from both pc and xbox to play together. Hardly any cheaters and hackers on mcc pc. Cross play would make the multiplayer player base expanded and it would be fun.

its true all about that and thats one off the good things about crossplay.
that the population is becoming bigger, and that friends can play with each other from 2 diffrend platforms, and that it will be more fun thats something we all agree.
but what a lot off players are also seeing is that there are also nasty bad effect’s with it crossplay between xbox and pc.
it can also be that players like halo mcc for that you need to pay the full price for the game to play it and less wane risk it to get a bann on it by using cheat thats something also that is playing.
but there are still a lot off people that still not trust it and there not wane play with any pc player in the new halo game since the chace about cheating is more big then thats something that also needs to be accept that things like that need to be respect also.
its not that there hate crossplay but only not wane risk to end up in a lobby with some cheaters.
They need to have it but they also need to have plan for the ranked/esports side of things. PC players, no matter how balanced aim-assist might be, do not want to compete against controllers.
That creates the question: who gets esports? Having two different leagues based on input would undoubtedly fail, but picking one would alienate the other.

I play console games. I enjoy Warhammer Inquisitor Martyr, but not with a controller, there are not enough buttons. I cannot wait to get the official Razer KB and M for playing those games. I play Halo with a controller though, why not allow play with both on console ? Also, PC players can use controllers. I say have cross play on toggle and allow players to use the input they want. Bottom line, if they have the choice players will use what they’re most comfortable with.

what i told more was:
that crossplay between concole and pc is not good for all game’s any more that most off the concole players are seeing in other game’s now like Warzone from COD that in less then 1 month 70,000 cheaters have been banned from that game for using cheat’s.
that most off the players not wane see any online crossplay in the new halo game that for playlist’s like matchmaking and firefight there wane see that crossplay is been remove from that type game type’s.
for custom game’s is a diffrend story and thats something there wane accept to have crossplay between xbox and pc.
but for matchmaking and firefight there not wane see it.
and still english is not for most people not there main language.

hacking on a playstation or xbox is automatic a concole bann and your accout has been bann also that means you need to buy a new concole and make a new account + buy new membership and thats something there not wane risk
on pc you can easy hide you real IP and use a fake one and hacking is there super easy to do.
thats the main reason for a lot off players to never wane have any type off crossplay with pc players since the risk’s are to high if you have crossplay between concole and pc.
