Ok can we please for the love of all that is classic halo give us the option to turn off crossplay I havent won a dang game in over a week during the entire terrain event and I have 4 challenges currently up for winning games in pvp so I cant even cheese one out for a bot game. Seriously crossplay is killing this game for me I dont have money to keep just dumping into a pc build because unlike a lot of pc gamers I actually am an adult who has to pay Bill’s so all I can afford is a console. I just want to sit back and chill since i dont have any friends who even want to play this halo anymore. If it wasnt for my hope that this game can be better I would’ve already uninstalled it after beating the campaign like I did with 5

I think there must be an option in the xbox system you can switch off crossplay directly on the xbox itself.
But yes you’re right, it is very questionable why we can not switch it off.

There is an option to disable crossplay in Xbox settings (think it’s in privacy) but it doesn’t work in Halo Infinite…and you’d never ever find a game in COD Warzone as not enough players enabled it.

You don’t need a pc, just plug in a keyboard and mouse. Can get both super cheap.
Just be aware controller is dominating right now so you’ll probably have a harder time on kbm than controller.
With crossplay off your games would be less even, so you could have easier games but you also could have much harder games.

While I do agree we should have the option to completely turn crossplay off if we wish - you’re 4-8 in your last 12 pvp matches over the last week, so you’ve won some. Crossplay isn’t the only reason you’re losing games, SBMM is supposed to match you to where your win rate SHOULD be around 50%. Either you or your teammates though have dropped the ball in your recent games - only you could know that answer. The servers likely screwed you on a win or 2 based on the state of the servers / net code / desync crap going on.
There are probably a few cheaters sprinkled in here and there given the state of the game.
If your concern is m+kb players - similar to controller players - only the ones near the top are elite. The average kb+m players is no better than you.

My little brother told me about it.
I play it on PC, i have no idea about it.
But he told me, when he plays alone on xbox is way mor balanced.
While cheap I have to worry about using them at a distance and on a lower than should be table since I play in my living room the option of keyboard and mouse is limited to either items that have long USB or wireless and when KBM is in play wired is much better I’m more having a problem with kbm since I’m onyx ranked I get placed against them all the time and what’s worse is some will do the controller only option and disconnect the controller to use KBM which has a distinct precision advantage that’s why I have such an issue with KBM pc players sure I dont mind them when actually using a controller but it’s very clear when they are using KBM instead because I lose more gunfights. Being onyx i know how to aim but dealing with them is another story I’ve always lost gunfights to KBM but it’s far more than controller of equal skill. Like you said the elite KBM players are the ones I’m dealing with as for how im doing and my teammates in game im usually holding top spot on my team even against other pc players. The difference is clear if you come close to doubling my average kills per game the chances of you using KBM goes up drastically in my opinion just off of experience against it. I stopped playing warzone because of pc and being unable to turn off crossplay though unlike with warzone taking systems settings into account infinite completely bypasses that and that’s what I have a problem with is being completely unable to turn it off idc about longer wait times to balance the team’s so long as each match I have a 50 50 chance of winning or losing not a 25 75 those odds make me quit. I didnt even try to finish the event or the weekly’s they were too damn difficult and that’s coming from a friggin onyx
Crossplay should only exist in custom games.
Otherwise, we should be allowed to turn it off.
PC players don’t want to play with we Console players, citing the fact that we have a slight aim assist. Meanwhile Console players don’t want to be paired with PC players who can spin their Spartans around at MACH 7 and then press a small button on their mouse to reduce sensitivity for sniping advantage.

Hopefully they never disable it. Game works fine and this issue of cross play is just an excuse.

The option in the Xbox settings only allows you to disable non XBL cross play. Unfortunately for us, Steam and PC Gamepass players still utilize Xbox Live accounts, so it doesn’t effect them.

Fair enough. I absolutely 100% agree it should be an option to enable/disable crossplay, and this should apply across all playlists not just in specific ranked playlists.

I was a wandering if it was the sign in still being Xbox live related that allowed it to still pair together.
I remember Sea of Thieves having this issue of crossplay at launch. Eventually the two communities were separated. So, it isn’t a Microsoft rule that the two must play together.
Personally, I will be leaving it on for myself as I did on Sea of Thieves and Gears but I am on PC.
Just doesn’t bother me personally.
The Mouse is unrestricted in the speed at which you can move it, with many mice having a button to adjust the sensitivity level on the fly.
Controller has X & Y Axis sensitivity adjustments that give Xbox players an upper limit to how fast they can turn their Spartan around.
In a game where being backslapped is an insta-kill, the ability to turn around at Mach 7 to face your opponent kinda cheats the player out of what should’ve been a given kill.

Plus that doesnt stop someone queuing up with a controller from disconnecting that controller and going back to their mouse
I’m not really aiming for a tone outside of annoyed that I cant turn it off regardless of what I do. I’m a casual guy with skills good enough for onyx but I’m not here to sweat in casual games that’s only for ranked and even then because the pc problem i wont touch ranked alone i gotta have a team of at least 2 other guys. If you think my tone is whining sure maybe it is but I’m not crying over it I just quit playing as well. Honestly if they lose their console base that means their 500 million price tag is going to cause this to be one of gaming’s biggest blunders as the console base makes up most of the game still where pc still prefers cod

It’s not like this on mcc though. where we dont have to deal with crossplay unless we want it given I take longer to find a game but honestly that doesnt bother me as much as playing against pure pc because of my ranked level. I honestly shouldn’t have to sweat just to come up sub par. I cant always be stupid cracked at the game after all
