If they can knock out the numerous bugs that comes with cross talk of the platforms, then my next request would be for the PC platform to have extremely strict file verification so hackers and cheaters wont abuse the system.
This is great news! I expected it already but it’s nice to know that it’s confirmed. Just hope that there is a really good anti-cheat system in place.

Sounds like it is for campaign as well. I expected this but glad to hear confirmation
It says crossplay and cross progression for multiplayer but I didn’t see anything about campaign crossplay. That doesn’t rule it out but it does leave a feature that would be greatly appreciated appreciated in question.
I’m extremely excited about this as I have recently moved over to PC and still have friends on Xbox. So this is all around welcomed news. All 343 has to do now is make sure there is an anti-cheat on day one.
Hopefully tonight’s update will shed a bit more light on this. Otherwise, it may be a good topic for the follow up ask343 regarding campaign coop cross play.

I’m pretty certain they will have cross play for every game mode. The only reason they have given for no campaign cross play for PC MCC was because of the old code preventing it. Since this is a completely new engine that should be a non-issue. Gears 5 had cross play for everything so if Halo Infinite didn’t have that would be a very strange choice indeed.
I am stoked that Infinite will have cross progression as well. I loved it when Fortnite and Destiny added cross progression and its one of my biggest gripes that Apex still does not have anything similar. If I’m going to buy a game multiple times across multiple platforms I should be able to carry my progress wherever I want to. Cross progression should honestly be an industry standard by now. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.
