Crossover into Doom needs to be a thing

So…
Emile and Kat crossed over into Gears 5.

Why haven’t we seen something similar with Doom Eternal?

In my opinion it would be awesome to see Master Chief or Emile as playable outfits in Doom Eternal, and as a reciprocation Halo Infinite could have a Praetor Suit inspired armor core with a Fractures event surrounding it.

Thoughts anyone?

I would say that is very unlikely.

  1. Doom Eternal is multi-platform. I have not idea what happened with the Master Chief skin in Fortnite, as I don’t play that game, or Minecraft as my son only plays it locally on Xbox. If those skins were multi-platform, then this point is moot. If it was only on Xbox, then I have my doubts.

  2. The game issued its final update for the foreseeable future last year and is winding down. Even the Doom64 based event is lasting for 7 weeks, compared to the 4 weeks for past events (5 on occasion depending on holidays) with another week for In Case You Missed It rerun of past events. This is a game that is winding down and approaching its end of ongoing support.

  3. Events have multiple skins attached to it, not just for the Slayer. Themed skins would be needed for the Demons, and also icons, nameplates, and the platform that is included in the Master Collection for the event. The amount of work eliminates this route.

  4. Skins not awarded through the events have been done through the Bethesda account, usually representing ownership (although with GamePass playing) and linking the game. Not going to happen for Halo.

As for the Praetor suit in Halo with Fractures, Chief’s suit is already an homage to the Doom Marine with the green power armour trope used in FPS in the 90s.
