Ok since everyone thinks these are bad Ideas lets make a few adjustments. 1. The throwing knife could be made out of that plasma that the energy sword uses. 2. The Crossbow could be made of metal, Also Perhaps the arrows could be plasma bolts that act like a sniper except they leave a small explosion at contact and it cannot zoom in. Perhaps this can make these Ideas a bit easier to put into a halo game.
Now tell me if these ideas suit Halo in your opinion.

Why have people been pushing this idea so much lately? I don’t see the fascination in it.
While Spartans are the typcial super soldier, I don’t want them running around being the action movie hero pegging dudes with throwing knives. It doesn’t matter what they’re made of, throwing knives don’t have a place in Halo’s gameplay, or more importantly, feel.

While I’m against the idea stated in the OP, this comment is pretty rude. Not trying to be a wannabe mod, but keep the forums civil. There’s no reason to be degrading a person for an idea, whether it’s good or bad.
Ok just two quick questions.
1.dont energy swords deactivate if not in someones hand??
2.why would someone use a crossbow in the 2500s even if it was plasma? you would have to reload after evey shot.
We don’t need a crossbow or throwing knife. Just because those are 2 of the only types of weaponry not in the game does not mean they are missing from the game.
