does anyone know if halo wars 2 will be cross play with p.c and xb1?
It is not known. I’d expect that’s the intent, but it will be hard to implement for RTS.
If they do I could see making a controller required for the PC to make it more balanced.
I could see it being a possibility in this day and age though I feel it won’t happen. RTS games have never really been a big hit on consoles whereas PC gamers are usually pretty big into RTS. I think the gap in skill and knowledge for those types of games would anger quite a few console gamers

You assume that console gamers can’t also be PC gamers.
The biggest problem comes from the difference in control input. Mouse and keyboards versus controller. It always has and [foreseeably] always will be what keeps console RTS and PC RTS separate. Controllers cannot match M&K input in terms of speed, accuracy, and complexity of commands for RTS.
hmmm they way microsoft is going with this whole xbox 1/windows 10 merge thing im wouldnt put it past them to start cross platforming in the near future
I think that the new Fable is doing it as well.
They haven’t talked about it yet.
