I can understand crossplay not being implemented for matchmaking, as KB/M is superior to a gamepad or whatever, but I feel crossplay custom games wouldn’t really be affected by this. Since competitive gameplay and rank aren’t the focal point, I figure that the control advantage wouldn’t be as noticeable.
Honestly, I just want to be able to play Halo with my brother who lives in Washington D.C. He plays on Xbox One while I play on PC.
Id be fine with any playlist supporting cross play if balanced. If thats not an option, customs or a FF mode at the very least should be doable.
As long as there an option to not have to play against KB/M than I’m fine with it.
You say this like the advantage M&K have is minute. It is not , it is an ocean of difference.
Imagine using a pencil point to aim (Mouse and Key board) , compared to your thumb (Controller).
An Ocean of difference.
That said , for customs , if you want to expose your self that kind of masochism , who am I to argue?

I’m not saying that the difference is minute. What I am saying is that Halo custom games is more of a casual gamemode, meaning that the differences between controller and kb/m accuracy is less noticeable. I can prove this as I’ve enjoyed thousands of custom games on Halo CE, Halo 2 Vista, Halo 5 Forge and Halo Online with a gamepad without the issue of player advantage.

I agree and I think it would be optional, I watched an interview with Phil Spencer where he stated that Xbox are working with Razer to bring KB and M to Xbox, so we may eventually have the option to play with a KB and M in Halo too. Depending on how the developers implement it, if at all.

You chose to ignore it , or were playing with bad M&K players. You may not have noticed it even , but the advantage was there. It is inherent between the two devices , but again , in Customs what does it matter? As long as it is only customs it has no impact on the games balance.
