I’m wondering if there will be cross-play in Infinite between xbox one servers and the next Xbox. I’m planning on getting the next Xbox and was wondering if it would still be possible to play infinite with my friends who plan to stay on the One.
I suspect that the next Xbox will not be a traditional console generational evolution- based on the movement of other industry players and some of MS’s rhetoric, I believe the Xbox platform as it exists today will simply be built upon and made available as a streaming style service on a great variety of devices, including whatever the next console box they release will be.
If that’s a reasonable assumption, we won’t need “cross-play,” across console generations, just across the different platforms whereon Xbox as a service is available. I could be wrong, of course, but that’s my suspicion.
Well, since the new xbox probably comes out soon it would be a good idea
I would guess it would be possible given even now we have cross-playable games with Xbox 360.
Though im just saying that it’s possibly a bit too early to concrete on getting the next gaming platform given there is no information about it but to each their own.
