So Halo Wars 2 has been announced for both Xbox One and Windows 10. I’m wondering if this means that we will be able to sync our statistics and achievements like Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike and, as the subject suggests, if console players will be able to play with PC players à la Fable: Legends?
I certainly hope so. Though I suspect a mouse and keyboard player could have an immediate advantage in an RTS.

That would be a huge problem. Still, I wouldn’t mind it. I will be getting it on the ONE, and would love to play with PC people. (Until I get a good gaming OC haha.)
I do hope so, just think of the population number both platforms would sum up to! In my opinion, that overweights the unfairness of the diverse control options greatly.
halo wars 2 will be connected to windows 10 and will be a cross platform game this means there could be possibly mods for it like added factions and new units.

I was just thinking about this in another thread. For the campaign it obviously wouldn’t be too big of an issue, but matchmaking I could see a huge disadvantage between platforms. I’m curious to see how they handle it since controller support is almost definitely going to be available on PC and mouse/keyboard is supposed to be coming to Xbox. So potentially you could have the option of either no matter what you play on, but I still think controller players will get dumped on.
Maybe they can package it with a keyboard and mouse usable on the X1. I think I would get it on PC if it is cross platform. I play Starcraft so it will be easier for me to play on PC.
I personally hope it doesn’t have cross platform due to console players having a controller. If they could hurry up and implement mouse and keyboard support on the One then I wouldn’t have a problem with it though.
I have been toying around with windows 10 and I think that is a huge possibility that it will be cross platform. I also think that they will soon make a cross screen co op. Both would be nice to have!

More than likely the PC players, that want to play cross platform, will be required to play with an Xbone controller.
Normally I would have said no, but apparently the X1 is going to get proper keyboard and mouse support at a later date so I don’t see why there would be any issue. That said I definitely think there should be options to filter out PC on the console side if a particular player does not have one.

The only problem is what if some one syncs the data but they played it on windows 10 and xbox one, there might be problems.
