Hey everyone,
What about we make that game enjoyable like how it was back in the days and remove the unpleasant cross platform. I am a big fan of halo franchise, played all the games. I was super hype for this one but hey guess what you ruined it.
Kind of funny that having a fair game is not a thing anymore… way to go 343.
Atleast have the decency to give the option of having rank within only console… Not just a fake button that doesn’t work.

Are you being creamed?
I’m on a pc. I use a controller. I have a few buddies who use keyboard and mouse. I haven’t been able to tell what anyone else uses.
Are you ranked cross-play in high onyx or something?
Is the difference that noticeable at that high of a skill level?

I created a similar topic, and can tell you that from an unranked perspective, the imbalance is real and perceptible. Almost every match, look at the platform of the top players, they are more often than not on PC. And anytime there is an exceptionally standout performance, like double the kills of the next higher player, they are almost ALWAYS a PC player.

I’m not even sure how you know the platform of the people you are versing.
I’m hesitant to believe anyone, because people have been claming this since the beta weekends. Where you definitely didn’t know what the platform you are versing was. Yet even then people were jumping and screaming that controller players had the advantage… no wait mnk has the advantage no controllers. no mnk.
Lots of conclusions being made with very little data if you ask me.

Recent players>Go to their xbox profile>look for the PC symbol. It’s not hard. It shows you the platform…

They should just be upfront and honest and show the controller or keyboard symbol in the actual game like mcc does rather than make us find out that way.

Literally every pro player is playing with controller, Gigz was the one of the few good streamers who used MnK and he had to switch to controller because he felt it was superior at high ranks
The game is enjoyable even with crossplay, pc players aren’t ruining the game except the very few hackers ( I didn’t even see one yet)

It’s somewhat annoying how a lot of the features in MCC I assumed would be Infinite are absent, a crossplay toggle would be appreciated.

I play K&M in a four man group where everyone else is on xbox on controller and I get so many assists teeing up the enemy but they can snipe a kill from you with no effort, aim assist is still definitely present despite the complaining from the controller players, and thats where the pc players are getting pissed off especially when it comes to ranked. There shouldn’t be ‘assist’ anything in cross-play ranked, I don’t care if that leaves your sticks flopping you around past your target, learn to play with it, dial in your sensitivity, and get good rather then live with the fact that your ‘skills’ rely on a game mechanic/app. I’ve definitely checked if I could switch to playing against only pc players ranked.
Is this really a problem?
I can’t really tell who is on what input. And when I know for a fact (in the case of friends I’ve been playing Halo with for fifteen years), there is no real discernable difference anyway (some friends have switched to mnk in recent years, but we have all remained comparable in skill level regardless of inputs).
Whatever crossplay handicaps or whatever mechanisms are in place for Infinite, I’d say their working.
Im playing on xbox series x, but i have a few friends they play halo infinite on pc. Sometime we team up and play together. Never noticed that a pc player has a big advantage in halo infinite.

A mouse is more precise on a technical level. It will never be fair to controller players. There needs to be an option to turn off crossplay.

Even then, hacking isn’t PC exclusive.
It offers an option of precision, but a Mouse’s biggest advantage is the ability to move quickly to reactions. Being able to 180 on someone that might be getting a sneaky ambush or reacting to multiple enemies at once is where the Mouse excels.
In Halo Infinite Controllers coupled with aim assist offer a higher degree of precision and accuracy than a Mouse does.

Aim assist in infinite is probably the lowest it’s ever been in a halo game.
It’s funny because on the steam forums there is mouse and keyboard players who want crossplay off as well. “Aim assist is aimbot” or something along those lines.
I don’t really care either way but if people want the option to opt out I don’t see why not.
But it does seem like people just making excuses when they are getting destroyed over and over tbh.
