Right now I’m almost a brigadier with about 2 months played. I have Ts of 23 in 3v3 (which is my most played) I usually go Prophet but I can also play Anders. I just came to these forums and I want help from more experienced players to make a better opening strategy. For conveniences sake for the strategy I provide I’ll be going hunters.
Usually what I’ll do is go Warehouse, warehouse, factory (while geting my ghost to pick up resources) Then I’ll upgrade my warehouses and build two more, upgrade my base and build a Hall and shield gen. I’ll then make 10 hunters get my second base and give it warehouses, shields and another Hall. From there I’ll upgrade/ build units based on map, teammates and what I feel like.
I would suggest building double summit banshees, but if you don’t want to here’s what you should do:
Your main goal is to be able to double pump hunters (especially in 3v3). On exile double base right off the bat and grab the reactors (do not hog them though). You won’t need a shield that early into the game so replace it with a warehouse. On the other maps clear yourself a base and do the same. It is important that you make sure you have a good economy.
In my personal opinion, hunters suck and can be to easily countered or canny glitched.
Again I’m pretty new as are the people I’m playing I can win almost evry game by scarab rushing but that’s boring. Thank’s for the advice but what is canny glitching?
Canister, PT, and Grizzley Tanks can re-fire their Canis on infantry units (including leaders) as many times as they want (not going over how to do it) and this makes Hunters especially weak against Tanks.
Now, they were already bad to begin with-- this just intensifies the problem. In 3v3, Hunters aren’t worth it because of their mobility. By the time you make it halfway across the map with Hunters, your base will already have been attacked. The reason Banshees are so much more effective isn’t because of their attack power, but their mobility. In fact, Hunters, besides the Cani glitch, are the most effective way for a Covi to kill Tanks. But, they can’t harass, play offense quickly, or hit a moving target like Banshees can.
Another important reason to go Banshees is to force the other team to either build Vamps or Wolverines. Wolvies will take out of their UNSC’s pop and get your UNSC Tank lead. If all they do is build Vamps to stop you, you’re ahead on the harassment war because they’re giving up on Banshees before you are.
> worst troll ever
How am I trolling? People on forums are better than people who aren’t and I’m trying to get advice to improve my game
So what I’m understanding is I should make banshee’s early to harass them and then build up my economy as much as possible so I can double pump units?
The quicker you get the other team playing defense and not offense the better for your team.
if the enemy is focusing on defending themselves then your team will be able gain the advantage on eco and will likely gain more map control as well, which gives you a pretty massive advantage over the enemy. if your opponents are skilled then it won’t guarantee you a win but it will put the enemy in a difficult position,
> I can win almost evry game
Your trueskill is low so therefore you play bad teams and get some wins. However, if you play a better team you will lose every time.
-Harass with the Prophet, upgrade 4 warehouses, and build 2 summits. Do not double base.

Even if you have a high ts its not that hard. All the really good teams left halowars over a 1.5 years ago
