Do you have somewhere some good soundtrack? Or do we get only more 0815* Hollywood DunDun Soundtracks soon?!
Halo 4 should take some risks right? But why the hell not with music?! I have the feelding you try to stay VERY VERY safe with your H4 music… or not? And then you try to make it epic… but the result will be: they won’t be epic :’(
O - M - G -
*0815 = standard, boring, something that you see every day
I think Neil is just scared of the name “Halo 4”. And he is scared, because it HAS TO BE epic!
He is bunkering behind standard things - everything sounds same!!!
I guess he is just scared!!! Scared to make mistakes… Scared that ppl say: hey halo 4’s music is strange.
But IMO beeing scared and only try to make soundtracks >SAFE< is already a mistake.
I never was a friend of names… but now I have to say: I miss O’Donnell… sigh
I agreed with this AT FIRST but then i heard this.
Sounds like “Halo” “Metal Gear Solid” & “Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex” all rolled into one halo bearing action sound. Im interested to hear more diverse tracks rather than similar to what we heard already.
Which is an amazing combination in my opinion. I think the reason we have heard slightly repetitive tracks so far is to get the main stream fans to catch on. I believe Halo 4 will have many gems in its music

Those recordings are amazing. Neil is doing a fine job.

The first part of that clearly shows that they are still keeping (if not changed a bit) the original halo theme.
And people are forgetting that these are just a small sample to what is going to be released on soundtrack.
i agree, most of it sounds like hollywood movie cliche’s not very unique and very over used, after listening to current tracks it dosnt spark any imagination for me and lacks a sense of wonder and curosity. I really dont mean to sound harsh but so far at this moment neil davidge has been a huge let down for me.

thats very true, but what makes soundtracks even better is if it has the ability to make people enjoy it when its outside of the game, when its out of centext of the game, so far i cant enjoy it when i just listen to it on youtube but as for in game experience will just have to find out.
