Personally i don’t really have a problem with the REQ system, it’s not unfair, it’s balanced but there’s one big side effect from it. 343 made 1000s of REQs these included vehicles, weapons and legendary weapons. The problem is the vast majority of the playerbase will never use any of the cool items because they are all hidden behind REQ cards. I’ve played halo 5 for 9 days and have used the phaeton once, ONE opportunity to use a new vehicle, i have also only seen about 7 ever used in warzone. The same goes for the mantis i’ve used it about 5 times i think. This would be fine but they removed the option to use them in custom games and no playlists to use any of them (obviously because this would devalue the req cards) so you have a game where all the high end vehicles noone ever gets to use unless you personally sink so much time into the game you eventually start to get them. I’ve also had many many games where i wanted to use my mantis but it takes so long to get to the right REQ level the game is practically over and you don’t want to waste the card.
How cool would it be to have a play with some of the legendary weapons? nope if you pick up the game today it will take months of gameplay to get a chance to use some of the new stuff they have implemented
The legendaries are something to aim for thats their purpose, but maybe a little more maps like sandtrap with all the vehicles would be welcomed
Problem is every dies so fast, there is almost no point in actually using vehicles
If you want to get high level reqs quickly, go for any boss you can see. I have gotten to level 9 reqs when we’re only at 600 points and losing.
Reqs are coming soon to forge, but I agree it’s stupid we don’t have them yet.
I’m just sad that BTB has practically no vehicular combat, the best vehicle on any BTB map is the banshee and even that is barely usable because guillotine is a relitivally small map for big team. I just wanna see a map where it’s all out vehicle warfare and I don’t have to get so annoyed about being instantly killed in the banshee I just spawned in warzone.

Are you playing Warzone alone by chance? I’ve noticed if I lone wolf it that I don’t see as many of the higher req vehicles, but when our Company gets a large group together and we play other organized groups that it’s total madness. Phatons, mantises, ect. all over the place. I’m not sure if this is because the games go on a lot longer with closer scores so everyone gets higher into their reqs or what, but it’s an observation. I rarely play a game of Warzone without seeing the level 7 and 8 req vehicles when playing with large groups.
