I’ve always been in good spirits about Halo.
I’ve supported 343i in the takeover with a strong and positive attitude that 343i would pull off a world-wide, eye-opening Halo that would shock the globe.
During H4, H5 and even with the launch of Halo Infinite, I was so excited and enjoying each and every match however…I’m now losing my mojo and wondering, is it ever going to be right?
I usually don’t promote videos about Halo when they are on the dark side but, just ran across this vid and 100% agree…I couldn’t have said it better.

Very true man. The video sums it up. And there is a lot of videos now about that. Quotes from the Bungie Devs who stated that Halo is a social game. Halo was always fun to watch, fun to play and completely enjoyable all around. The comp scene came after. There’s always going to be those people who are amazing at this game. But now, all 343i cares about is making all that money from these guys who are basically corpo slaves to 343i. Now they have coaches for esports? WTF? There was never a coach/manager. If you were that good, you entered on your own and worked your way up on your own. When I heard Sean say Halo has always been a competitive game, I literally cringed in my chair. I mean look on YouTube for old Halo videos back when Youtube started out. Hollywood Halo were my absolute favorite vids. Red vs. Blue, Arby and The Chief. Thats Halo to me. Blasting someone to the stratosphere with rockets and gernades. We aint got that anymore.
Dont get me wrong, the future updates for the game sound promising, but 343i has got to get to know the average joes that play Halo. Not their beauty pagent stars. People have become soooo disconnected from each other, it makes me insane. I know the plague had a part in it, but it should have brought us together with Halo. Gaming went through the roof during the pandemic. People would game with friends they couldnt see or hang with. Halo didnt and I dont understand why… Instead of bring all of us 20 year vets together and all the die hards and the newcomers, it isolated us. Sad man, it really is…

Halo used to be all about the FUN!
Now, it’s all about the SWEATS!
My thoughts on fixing it would be simple…slow it down. Doesn’t have to be very noticeable, for instance…
- the Mangler spawns way too frequently…every 30 seconds? Geez!
- the Sword could be a 2 stroke instead of 1
- vault Sprint
- slightly lengthen the TTK
- give us a chance to battle for goodness sake
- the Hammer is way too powerful
- just Relaaaaaaaaax lol
There’s prolly a hundred other things they could do, we just need to get away from trying to compete with CoD!
Halo is not about being a fast and sweaty “twitch-shooter” but instead, should be about a fun and voicetress community that enjoys stopping to smell the roses as you t-bag the guy you put to sleep after he was talkin’ smack!
Haha…all about the FUN, not very many players want to SWEAT all the time!
