Just wondering if someone out there could tell me if i get the Crimson map pack do i only get to play them in the DLC game variant, or will i see them occasionally in the big team as well. I thought i read someone on here that they were only for DLC variant which is team objective only. Thanks for your help!
You will see them in other playlists, a little too much actually, if you have crimson, and you play big team, you will get paired with people with the map packs like half the time you search, it gets a little annoying actually. I even considered uninstalling the map pack for that reason.
It not really a problem for any of the other play lists though.

Dude for the love of god don’t DL the DLC.
I DL’d it from day one, deleted it shortly after. It’s not worth the buy. I hardly saw it on random game modes. Once I did see it in random game modes you sure bet cha that nobody voted it. The few times it was voted I was forced to leave.
Yes, the maps are that bad.

No, it’s the opposite. The whole week I had DLC installed I played more haven/adrift/solace than the DLC. But that’s not the problem, the DLC itself is not good. The maps are just not good. That’s all I had to say. Your opinion may be the opposite but a majority of players do not like the DLC. Check out some youtube vids.

You played Haven/Adrift/Solace more than the DLC because the maps are too large to be included in the same playlists as those maps. The gametypes used for the DLC maps aren’t usually included with gametypes for those smaller maps. If you were to try them in Big Team, you would see them more often. Don’t claim to speak for the majority when you have no idea what they like. You haven’t talked to a majority of players and the very vocal people on the forums =/= the majority.
OP: The reason people would vote for them more often is because they are new maps. I was able to get them for free during that flub my MS, I enjoyed them and didn’t really have a problem with only playing those when I was in BTB. If you’ve got the money, I would say go for the map pass so you can get all of the maps when they are released. You save some money that way, get the variety if you want it, and can decide what maps you like for yourself.
I would also suggest watching some map walkthrough videos to see if you like them, rather than relying on that rantings and ravings of the people here in the forums.
They come up occasionally in big team but usually lose out in votes to Exile or Ragnarok.

You take this forum thing a little to seriously, wait are you a member of the 343i defense squad? No wonder.
Funny though whenever I had them DLED people would never vote for them… wonder why =]
Plus they were definitly in CTF. I know for a fact. Thing is nobody voted for them cause they DIDN’T LIKE THEM.
two of the three are “big” maps, so they only show up on those playlists. I feel like the one poster who gets tired of seeing DLC maps voted all the time - particularly Wreckage.
I would suggest getting them, for variety, and would definitely do a walk-through before you started battling on them, so you can learn the spawns and angles…
I agree with those who say its worth it, when I play big team the maps come up often, occasionally you will have a group of people who will still all vote for ragnarok or exile but whenever I play on Shatter or Wreckage I have fun. The third map is a small map although its larger than other small maps such as haven and adrift. These maps will show up, you won’t be begging to play them.
