I just thought it should be spelt out clearly. The map pack is free for download today before it is patched. I don’t think MS will revoke contents license because it is a blunder on their part. I am guessing season pass holders will be compensated with free map or advanced access to future map packs.

This does no hurt you, this actually hurts Microsoft because they are losing sales in their early DLC (not to mention DLC one month after release is too early, we should have had more maps to begin with). The only thing this does to map pack owners is increase the population they are matched with in matchmaking.

Though it still sucks for people who don’t even have a specialization code. Such a shame that I still have an extra one… hehehe…

I hope they give out extra free maps for map pack owners, but I’m not going to avoid telling people about a free deal lol I already feel like 4 small maps shipped with the game is a ridiculously low amount, we already deserve more maps as it is.
I was burned in another map pack situation because of exclusionary business decisions. Just before the multiplayer server migration was occurring between 343 and Bungie I purchased and the noble map pack. After the Defiant map pack release 343 lumped the two packs into one playlist effectively locking players out who didn’t own both. I rarely ever got to play the noble maps after that.
